Skip the first marriage and go straight to the second marriage. Of course then that would become the first marriage...
Who said anything about "partner " ? ANY woman who assaults me is only going to get in 2 blows before I strike back. JimB.So your opinion is that hitting your partner is fine? Great marriage. Too bad neither one learned to walk away from an equally combative relationship.
I knew a couple like this. The semi-playful hitting escalated until he left her for dead one day. He ended up in prison.
This is a conversation on marriage/partners.Who said anything about "partner " ? ANY woman who assaults me is only going to get in 2 blows before I strike back. JimB.
Not sure why you are so defensive. What woman would even want to strike you? There's also something called "walking away." That helps preserve the peace. Striking back is not a gentlemanly thing to do, IMHO.Who said anything about "partner " ? ANY woman who assaults me is only going to get in 2 blows before I strike back. JimB.
I spent 10 years working for Metro Toronto Ambulance. Dealing with drunks, you never know when one of them is going to get violent. Domestic violence situations. We always had to be ready to defend ourselves against physical attacks. That is where my attitude of "you get to throw 2 punches, then I fight back " comes from. Einstein was a terrible husband. As Einstein said:
"Keep your eyes wide open before marriage; half shut afterwards."
It would be nice to know what Mrs. Einstein thought but I remember him answering the question posed to him by a reporter: "What did he think the most important thing he'd like to be remembered for", and he stated "as a good father to his children"!As Einstein said:

I have read a lot about Einstein. A fascinating man, just not the best husband. I don't hold it against him!And you know this how ? Were you married to him ?
I would be exhausted from lack of sleepNever go to bed mad at each other. Stay up and fight. Phyllis Diller.
This reminds me of the saying "the grass is greener on the other side". However, I come to realize, it depends on whose watering the grassIf he/she will cheat with you, they'll cheat on you...
Tell us some more about Einstein, (if you feel like it), as I only know what I've read in newspapers, or tv documentaries.I have read a lot about Einstein. A fascinating man, just not the best husband. I don't hold it against him!
Checked myself now, and of course there are a host of biographies about this great man.Tell us some more about Einstein, (if you feel like it), as I only know what I've read in newspapers, or tv documentaries.
Did he write an autobiography for example, or have others penned biographies, (authorised and unauthorised)?
