If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?

I'd love for my son and his family, with my beloved granddaughters, to move here to Scotland so I could spend more time with them. But that can't happen.

Well Dear lady, There are many things I would change but none I'll relate here!

If I could change anything, I would change where my favorite people are; I would want all my loved ones, friends and family to be living near me in no more than 30 minutes radius, but preferable, no more than 5-10 minutes away. That all my siblings to still be here. Probably the latter more so.

Not a stupid question at all. Finances! Plain and simple. Could not have what I have now up there. Simply could not afford it. Would love to go back and would have no problem from living in a home to apartment living. No yard work, no home maintenance to keep up, less stressful all around. But even rents are sky high.

Nothing. Grew up and spent most of my life in Brooklyn. Worked mostly in Manhattan. Have always wanted to live there.

Nice, another New Yorker. There is so very much to miss, I agree. Whenever I visit, always asked, "so what do you want to do?". Most always involves food.

I really can't say that there is anything that I'd want to change. The things that didn't go the way I wanted or that were outright failures taught me lessons, some things I would have liked to change but were not within my ability to do so, so I accept them and move forward. Life has been pretty good, and there are a lot of folks less fortunate. We have a lot of blessings to count.

So happy for you. What a wonderful adventure. Had you been to New York before your move? Would love a small apartment, since losing my husband the house has just become overwhelming. Get one thing repaired and then wait for the other shoe to drop. What will be next?
What did you think of the Garment District? My very first job was working there. The streets were always filled with those rolling garment racks. Can't remember the main ave., but believe the street was West 37th, it was a few blocks down from the New Yorker. Is that still there?
How about Central Park? A truly beautiful oasis among all that steel and concrete. Love to hear more about your adventures.
