So sorry, Kadee. How very sad.
I at times dream about my brother, when he was quite young like 4/5 years old. He passed away at exactly 14 years and 11 months old. From epilepsy.
I remember many of my dreams, often in great detail. I dream in vivid colors, have lucid dreams at times, and have had recurring dreams and one prophetic dream when I was young. When my dreams are good, they are fantastic, like paisley printed cats and lilac colored chow chow puppies. My nightmares can be intense, I've told my husband, who likes horror movies, that I could make a fortune on a few of my nightmares if I could make a movie from them.
When I was young, three nights in a row I dreamed that I was sick in bed, and my friends were around my bed visiting me with presents. I told my mother I thought I was going to come down with the flu or something and be in bed according to my dream. A few days later, a drunk driver nodded off at the wheel going 45mph. I was waiting to cross a street at the light, and he came right up on the sidewalk. Luckily he just clipped me with the corner of his bumper, so I just had a few broken/cracked bones and had some stitches. Needless to say, I spent time in the hospital, and my relatives and friends were there visiting me with gifts.
When I have lucid dreams like flying, I can control how fast and high I go, and it's great. Sometimes in a nightmare, I'm aware that I'll be okay regardless of the situation, and that I'm just dreaming. I often try to yell loudly in the dream on purpose, and end up waking myself with a vocal noise.
I've had a lot of pretty wild and unusual dreams, too many to list them all. If I take Melatonin before bed for sleep, my dreams will be more intense.
I do dream a lot and remember very few the next day. I seem to have recurring dreams quite often. Dreams involving heights seem to take up much of night. I hate heights.
Have you you ever been just starting to go to sleep and your whole body jumps and you wake up? My wife does this more than I do. It's kind of a scary feeling.
SeaBreeze, your experience with dreams sounds almost identical to my own - except for your prophetic dream. I love the flying dreams. Sometimes I have the sensation of floating right out my bedroom window and soaring up into the night sky. So free and beautiful!

Most memorable dream, realistic dreams of a romantic nature...
Yes, those can be fun, I don't have enough of those. LOL
I wake with a 'start' and wonder if I've been vocal... :mask:
Well, a few years back, I found out, I had been vocal, one of my friends was staying with me for a while. I also had a very bizarre during a camping trip where I startled one of my camping mates as I woke crying out in one of my dreams, it was one of the most bizarre dreams that I still have some details I still recall to this day involving a well known novelist as well. I'll tell it sometime, it is one of those dreams, I have no explanation for it was that out there and believe me, my dreams can really be out there.
Ameriscott, I can definitely relate to all you said, those types of dreams are exhausting to the spirit when they happen.
