Ladies: What's up with the bare legs?

Leg make-up does not give the same benefits as smoothing your legs, giving them a nice sheen, and most importantly, it supports and energizes the legs with the stretch. There is no comparison, not to mention streaks from the make up and washing it off on your cloths. It stains.

This is great leg makeup. It does not come off until you wash with soap and water. I use the light and it's very natural.

There was a forum I was on and pantyhose were considered out of fashion. Tights were ok, even the sheer ones. IMO, sheer tights are pantyhose. LOL.

I remember buying a pair of Leggs. They’d just come on the market and my friends and I roared with laughter when I opened that plastic egg. Those things were so comfortable compared to a girdle. It was 1969.
Leggs! Yes! I remember when those first came out. Brilliant marketing. I had many pairs. :)

I tried that about 15 years ago. Still, it didn't make me feel as put together as the Sheer Energy choice. Especially with skirts at the office or out at night.
It worked when I first began wearing my little shorts in the spring until I got a bit of sun for the summer, though. It was a temporary fix. A good choice.🙂

awkward when i doff my wet/drysuit in public and the curious looks at my fishnet bodysuit... oops tmi?

well the strategy is to have a microflow of liquid movement between the body and the neoprene and it releases real well by eliminating vaporlock.

unfortunately mine is crochless but hey it's easy access. imagine that?
Yes, definitely TMI..

However, unless my eyesight is really bad, YOU ARE NOT A LADY!!!! :cautious:

@Catballou! a GUY "snuck" in here!!! Get 'im!!!!
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have bare legs in the summer with capris so I see nothing wrong with bare legs at other times. Men do it all the time.
I'm not talking about bare legs with capris or pants. I'm talking about bare-legged women who wear pumps (not sandals) with skirts/dresses, whether it's casual or formal wear, like wedding gowns. Most men don't do this. LOL

First of all I wasn't quoting you or replying to you. I still see nothing wrong with bare legs and the type of dress you speak of. It's natural.

I always worked where dresses were preferred, but pants were allowed. On the rare occasions when I wore pants and skipped the pantyhose, my legs would be tired at the end of the day. I wore "sheer energy" pantyhose and the light compression on my legs really did help the blood flow back up to my heart. I liked wearing them. The "control top," even when I was 110lbs, was nice, making for a smoother look than all those panty lines.

I think sheer, nude-colored pantyhose do for legs what make-up does for the face. Seeing a woman all made up, elaborate hairdo, pretty dress, and then bare legged with red knees and childhood scars on full display, seems like, "what's wrong with this picture?" to me. I like that the Princess of Wales, who always looks perfect, usually wears them.
Exactly...bare-legged with red knees and childhood scars is not a good look. It looks even sillier in the winter, at a Christmas party, for example....pasty white legs under a beautiful short dress. And my corner of the world is cold in the winter. I don't know how the heck these women don't freeze their "hoo-hahs" off! LOL

similarly carbon graphite prosthetics are the modern take on enabling technologies which are reminiscent of hosiery in their aesthetics. watching someone who knows how to put them on and glide with ambulatory abandon really moves me.

don't even get me goin' on wheelchairs as enabling 'accessories'. it's a wonderful to behold a ladies shapely figure, enhanced by their artful attire, fitfully presented in repose.

Tights/pantihose are uncomfortable to wear, especially in warm weather. They are also unhealthy, encouraging warm, moist conditions which can cause infections. I dislike the bare-legged look so only wear dresses at home during the summer.
For a long while, I have thought the celebs at glamorous Hollywood occasions spend a fortune on their posh frocks but spoil the whole effect with their bare legs.

We re legs 11 in our family 😂
Our genes give us good legs
Mum won the legs competition one year and my eldest sister came 2nd

I used to wear stocking and suspenders but found them very uncomfortable
Ive never worn tights , if I wore stockings they would be 5 denier hold ups 👍😊😊

Okay, no need to get snippy. And you actually were replying to me. I was the one who started this conversation.

"Posh frocks." I love this! You U.K. folks really have a way with words, :)

Pantyhose and tights went out with the ark.
I wear VienneMilano, Italian thigh high stockings when ever I have to wear stockings.

In summer, I love showing off my bare legs. They are worth it!!!
My legs aren't bad, either, for an old gal. Still shapely and muscular. At least, my calves are. My thighs...let's not go there. LOL
