What's your Hobby?

Love this pic, as I do all your pictures. You bring a sense of timeless arrogance to a frenetic and troubled world. If it would not be impertinent to ask, I would love to see any portions of your property or corners of your house you might see fit to share. I still remember fondly your red kitchen.♥️
Yikes, I just realised I posted arrogance rather than elegance. My apologies HC.

Fitness, music and finding new meal combinations. I was a work-a-holic before I retired and my partner always had dinner ready (mostly microwave). Now I frequent Central Market, Whole Foods, Sprouts and various grocery stores looking for dinner combinations that I can cook myself. I'm discovering new entrees all the time.

Also, is watching pre-recorded episodes of late-night talk shows and crime dramas a hobby?🤣

A hobby is an activity, interest, or pastime that is undertaken for pleasure or relaxation, done during one's own leisure time.

Long list here that is not complete. Useful to just skim through to grasp the extent of hobbies:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hobbies

Most ordinary folks with more consideration would list much more than in posts herein. For example not including secks and both legal and illegal drug consumables as Hobbies (but NOT mine):
[restaurant] Eating
[watching at homes] Television
[watching at theaters] Movies
Shopping

[post smartphone] Social Media

Although over years I could list several others only dabbled in, current actively would include these:

Photography
Skiing

[broadly] Science and technology studies
Hiking
Backpacking

[attending rock concerts] Music
[freestyle] dance
[quite limited] Television watching
[new since senior, urban street]
Walking
[Youtube, new since senior] Videography

What isn't listed I'm involved in:
World Wide Web Internet information
[pre smartphone] Internet forums

Although I have per career coded in a few computer languages like C and currently regularly code in HTML and use complex computer programs like Excel and Photoshop, none of that is for fun or leisure, thus not a hobby. For instance as an ordinary kid of the 50s/60s watched much TV, played endless team sports, played marbles for a few years.

As adult during one 3 year period while coping with a painful medical issue, played a solo version of Scrabble. Played pinball machines as young adult. In my 20s/30s went fishing quite a bit, listened to Rock Music with vinyl album collection, and built electronic blinking LED amusements and gifts. Engaged in competitive Table Tennis for fun at high level for years.

I am calling this a hobby, but what I love to do & am known for is my decorating & love of all the holidays & seasons. I'm almost finished with my St. Patrick's decorations & will be making many appropriate foods to enjoy. I am always working a couple holidays ahead & getting some new decorations for the home, 'pinning' foods or decos to some day try, getting a new holiday shirt or 2 & some jewelry. I do Valentine's, St Patrick's (on years when Easter is later), Easter, Patriotic, Fall, Halloween & Christmas is the biggest. Since I retired a couple months, it is making it more relaxing to do this. I have other things that I do, but this is my most enjoyable!

Do you Watch The Crime dramas " Walter Present's" Doug ? My hobby at the moment watched in the evenings , as this is the only time i get for hobbies now

More like interests than hobbies & most go in cycles depending on the time of year. I love to crochet & cook comfort food. I like to collect vintage recipes/older cookbooks, can & freeze food from the garden, do various crafts, listen to music, watch TV, movies on DVD & work in the garden/yard.

You must forgive me for overlooking this post. My lady was alarmingly unwell with covid throughout the first two weeks of January. Mercifully she recovered, but her return to health has been very slow. Have to say it's good to see her much like her previous self again now, we even managed a few dances at the function that we were at yesterday.

No apology warranted HC. I am so sorry your lady wife was struck down with Covid. I am delighted to hear she is well on the mend. 🤗
