Went to the store to get a few things for DS. I didn't even know it until he texted me, but he had the rest of his teeth pulled day before yesterday.

So I picked up beef and chicken broths, 2 cans of "creamy" soups and fresh veggies to make a minestrone which I will blender until smooth, his portion and freeze some for me.

I also got him a 4 pack of some protein drinks, and a 4 pack of Ensure with extra protein.

Yes, he will finally get dentures and be handsome again.

Getting cloudy here today.

I'm cleaning up garden beds around my front steps.
Its very tempting to put out plants or uncover them completely but its still too early. The weather is 60 degrees. 20230207_153534.jpg
Again, so tempting.
So, I did the unthinkable. I went up in the attic and pulled out some fake foliage and made a pre-spring plant to brighten my day.
Is it so wrong??

No, I don't think so. Yours looks very real, small and tasteful. At 60º, I think it's fine.

It's those big, plastic, bright pink blue and or yellow clusters of unknown flowers from the Dollar Store ($1.25 Store) that make me wince.

I actually saw some that were 10mg when everything I've read says to stick to no higher than 3mg.
If I take melatonin, I use the time release ones. My husband takes 2 3 mg, as instructed by his doctor.
IF going with new photos,,,need that printer working.
Have you checked out the price for developing at Walmart or similar? They’re very inexpensive now.

@MickaC It’s the rare dog that gets excited about going to the groomer. You’re lucky and/or you trained him well.

Micki is happy to go anywhere…..she does love her spa/bath appointments.
I let her out for her chores before we left…..neighbours dog started barking….so she felt she had to reply…..
I asked her…..aren’t you coming for your bath…..she was on her way…..LIGHTNING SPEED.

@Georgiagranny
Of course I don't know, but you might possibly want to check into that financial plan, in case the employer contributes extra into your account that way, and/or, if it might help reduce your next year's taxes, if you contribute a bit of your salary into it, which likely would then not be included in your taxable income, till later years, when you'd have even less income than you do now.
Just thoughts.

No not at all.. I have a cedar plant box.. quite a substantial one, on the patio... and all winter it's had fake greenery and fake plants in it, just so it looked a bit more cheerful out there during winter.

Well mine was not new. I bought it in 2018. It just disappeared from my computer for some reason. I had to do this twice. But is working fine now. As long as I know how to do it from now on I am okay with it if it does this again. I had to go into terminal and re-install it (Ubuntu). I just hope I remember how to do it if this happens again a couple years from now.
write all the instructions down ..or where to find them before you forget... I've had to learn to do this since I've been on my own, because the O/H did all my technical stuff for me..

you can get a new printer for 20 somin quid hols,,i just get a new one each time.......if you didnt buy recomended inks,it will say you need new ink,,,,,,,,pain in the ars.......
I don't think I can get a 3 in one for £20 quid, *M*... I do have recommended inks.. still saying I have no ink.

That is what I did. Each step. I even keep the instructions on how to put the ink cartridges in and the ones for loading the new paper in...........I forget everything if I do not do it often. I keep them right in front of the printer under a mat.

My son helped me take two (double) loads of laundry downstairs when he left for work at 3:30 a.m. I did get the blankets done, which I dried down there. I brought the cleaning rags up here to dry. I watched T.V. and wound up taking a nap until almost 11. I meant to be out of the house by then. I wound up not leaving until 1, went to city hall to see the Art and Black History exhibit. Well, all they were displaying was the art, which was nice, but I saw no Black history boards. I was disappointed because a tribute to my husband was supposed to be there. I'll have to hit up one of my honorary sons, who was keeping me apprised of the event, to see what happened.

When I left city hall, I went t the supermarket to get a few items. Knowing I'd be hungry and wanted something quick, I bought a Marie Callendar's chicken pot pie. It's sodium laden so I don't eat them often but they are very good. I took my meds while I ate then napped again for a couple of hours. I need more shows on my watchlist like I need a hole in the head but just started watching another one, which I think will be a keeper...Will Trent on Hulu. Also watched a couple of episodes of Criminal Minds and How Close Can I Beach today.

As the Spousal Equivalent is making a grocery run today, I just inventoried the freezer compartment with the purpose of moving older stuff to the front.

As a result, I now know that I have:

A lot more bacon than I thought.

Some suspiciously elderly chicken.

One hell of a lot of leftovers.

A box of meatless chicken nuggets that I bought by mistake but am too cheap to throw out.

Some frozen fruit bars that taste awful but...(refer to sentence above)

One frozen waffle that appears to be left over from the Clinton administration.

Various tail-end packages of bread, buns, etc. That the ducks would probably reject.

I'm pretty sure I saw Jimmy Hoffa in the back.....at least part of him.
ROFL...TOO funny Jujube! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I recently found Trent, and watched the whole season over a couple of days. I really found the characters built out with so much depth. I was not familiar with any of the actors but really enjoyed them. (Little Betty steals the scenes she is in) Very good show.

Thank you for your critique. Makes me want to stick with it even more Blessed. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Hulu has 5 episodes and a 6th is slated to air on Feb. 14th. I don't know if that will be the last for this season. I find Will's accent intriguing, as well as his quirks. The only actor I recognize is Mark-Paul Gosselaar. I enjoyed him so much in The Passage, a Sci Fi-Horror series which aired in 2019 that sadly only got one season. I've been seeing so many actors and actresses that I wasn't previously aware of but have come to like since I have access to so many shows via streaming.

It's morning but hours away from sunrise yet. Gonna be 70F today before our next cold front blows through (just in time for the weekend).

New Lady works today. Sir and Retired Lady will also be there, so it'll be fine I think.

Gotta throw on my duds and get ready to truck on over to the croissant wars.

Sorry you didn't get to see what you were most interested in at the Museum , Diva, what was the tribute to your husband that you were hoping to see ..can you tell ? :)

I know several people who also do that. I have a small printer but seldom use it as I don't print off many photos or documents and when I do, I use the one in the Ideas Store/library or pop into Snappy Snaps. I always found that the toners which came with new printers lasted less time than the toners I bought separately.

Lovely and sunny out today but chilly so, can't leave the winter coat at home yet. Have no plans for today. It's tempting to stay home and just potter around but, as it looks so nice out, it's tempting to go out too! What a shame there aren't two of me! I could leave one at home while the other one goes out and has fun :)

Can you tell us what the tribute to your husband was about? Maybe it will be up on a later date.
