What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Tuxedo with Jackie Chan (Police Story), Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer ) and Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter).

LOL fell asleep, well it was late..,so will be rewinding and completing today 😊

'You People' on Netflix, a newer version of something like 'Guess Who's Coming for Dinner.' While very watchable, at the same time it was awful & dumb. Go figure. Great cast--Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jonah Hill, who is responsible for writing this entertaining mess of a movie.

Fun movie. I really enjoyed it.

The Astronaut Farmer ( free )

"If we don't have our dreams, we have nothing." Academy Award® winner Billy Bob Thornton stars as a man who refuses to give up on his dreams in this inspirational family drama filled with heart, humor and a healthy dose of social satire. As a farmer, family man and former astronaut-in-training, Charles Farmer (Thornton--Mr. Woodcock) chases his lifelong dream to reach the stars by building his very own spacecraft ¿ in his barn! With the support of his family and friends -- played by Virginia Madsen ("Smith," Sideways), Bruce Dern ("Big Love") and Tim Blake Nelson (Minority Report) -- Farmer bravely faces the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Aviation Administration and financial ruin to overcome every obstacle that stands in the way of his launch and his dreams.

I had a feeling it was a stinker. Good people, but my expectations were real low so I haven't seen it. And I trust you, so I won't.

I most recently watched The Cloverfield Paradox, a film in the CloverVerse series currently available only on Netflix. I don’t recommend the film unless you are a fan of the original Cloverfield (2008) or 20 Cloverfield Lane (2016).

In Paradox, Earth is on the verge of global war over energy when an international team of scientists orbiting the planet tests out a “particle accelerator“ intended to produce limitless energy but in the process opens a rift in space leading to a parallel universe wherein dwell creepy horrors. One such monster crosses over to our dimension to become the Cloverfield horror that decimated NYC in the original movie. A new film is in planning to pick up where said Godzilla-esque creature survives a tactical nuking by the military… 🙀

Watched a bunch of movies on Netflix:

Secret Obsession -pretty good and a bit scary.

Term Life -liked it a lot.

I Came By-Good and scary.

I will second how bad it was. I couldn't even finish it.
Did you happen to see Seth Rogen's "Santa Inc." ?

He and Amanda Barnes and Alexandra Rushfield and a bunch of other *progressives* made this sicko Christmas series that characterizes Santa Claus as a big fat capitalist misogynistic cruel-to-reindeer pea-brained idiot who's potty-mouthed kid-hating ultra-feminist elves are ill-used and underpaid despite their deplorable attitudes and utter laziness.

It's supposed to be funny.

I started to watch Citizen Kane last night but only got into about 20 minutes of it and shut it off.

Did I miss something good or was this all hype about the great Orson Wells?
Ha ha, I've turned off or walked out of a few "great" movies. For example, Lord of the Rings and On the Waterfront.

I did make it to the end of Citizen Kane, but it didn't leave much of an impression. Apparently it was technically excellent and innovative (music, structure, etc.). And it was controversial (loosely based on a public figure), so maybe it got points for that.

But yeah, if you don't like it, you don't like it!

I try to go to a movie at the local theater at least once a week. My last movie was 80 For Brady with Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin and Sally Field. They are all great actresses, but I felt they were somewhat wasted in this movie. It was mildly entertaining. I've also recently seen A Man Called Otto, Plane and Meg3an at the theater. They were all entertaining and better than I expected, especially A Man Called Otto. I like to just get away from everyday life for a while.
