What are you wearing today? just a fun thread.

So, are you following the rules in our golden years or what have you that suits your mood these days?
I've always worn what I want and that would always be something comfortable. The only trends I keep up with are my own and I have no idea what social media says a woman "of my age" should be wearing. :giggle: Some of the "influencers" I've heard about could use some style suggestions!

My knee high stretch black pants, it's warm today, finally. My sleeveless t-shirt in aquamarine and my cat fleece, wine colour and an amazing undershirt from Primark which supports the girls without the constant pinching of them metal thingys lol. Bliss. I'll be getting more now I know how comfy fitting these are. Sorry 😳😳😳

Today I'm wearing...

  • Blue denim jeans
  • Merrell outdoor walking trainers
  • A T-Shirt that says... "Equal rights for others does not mean less rights for you. IT'S NOT PIE!"

Have you heard of Douglas Fairbanks Jnr? Seen here with Mary Pickford. They were Hollywood royalty in the 1920's.
Look at his shoes, talk about must have. Now I happen to know a cordwainer, that's someone who makes new shoes, as opposed to a cobbler, who is someone who repairs shoes. A word in the cordwainer's ear, money exchanged hands, i have an additional pair of shoes.

Coincidentally, my Papa wore a pair of shoes very similar to these on the one photo on the day he proposed to Mother. Golly Gee my Daddy was a handsome man. It became their official engagement photo which they had reproduced (no idea how they did that in 1939. However, I believe a specialist printer did!).

Ooh, the daywear, for this time of year, of course. Yoga pants, thicker ones in black, the red ones are in the washing lol! Black tunic top, short sleeves and my favourite cat fleece with pockets for my vaping pens and a hood with cat ears!!!

I love this top. Since I am always cold even in the summer I have a few tops like this one. I have an orange-colored one on right now with Black slacks.

I got my cat's fleece hoodie at Amazon. They've quite a few choice colours if you fancy extras lol. My top and feet are contrary to each other when it comes to hot and cold. My feet are permanently nicknamed the popsicles, cold buggers but I'm barefoot and uncovered aka out from under the covers in bed or on the sofa lol.

What I enjoy calling the "Wo! Man-a-Pause" is playing havoc with my internal thermostat 😂😂😂

The British fashion brand's history, Aquascutum, stretches back to 1851 when Mayfair tailor, John Emary, opened a menswear shop in Regent Street, London. A couple of years later, he patented a method of producing a water-repellent textile. He then named the company Aquascutum, from the Latin words aqua, "water" and scutum, "shield."

The shirt is known as: A Penny Round, the hat is a Fedora, (what else?) and the blazer is an Aquascutum. March is the astrological sign of Pisces, hence the cufflinks.
