What are you doing today 2023

It was very cold overnight for Los Angeles - mid 30s. I sure hope my big, beautiful basil plant makes it through.

Need to go to the library and perhaps do a little grocery shopping today. Baby grandson will be here so how much I do outside of the house will partly depend on his mood. He's usually pretty agreeable.

Save the basil! At all costs.

I usually have a large potted basil each year. Rosemary a few times. This year I want both; they are my favorite herbs.

Today, we are taking a long drive to the town of Port Perry. We do these drives 2-3 x per week, just to get
out of the city. It's nice to see farm animals out in the pastures along the way. Often, we pick up a few
groceries and indulge in a take-out meal.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day :)

Yesterday my 45 minutes of exercise seemed to take up the whole day. Sure, I did laundry and made egg salad, but still.... It wasn't long ago that I exercised for 1.5 hours AND worked for a living.

Today, exercise of course. Maybe cook a batch of ground beef. Pay the electric bill (which we call the "hydro bill"). Then we'll see. I might even clean the bedroom.

Tonight, talk to language partner. Then early to bed.

@Georgiagranny I am a Canadian and this is aboot.

Nope. It's a boot;)

I'm so sorry you're not sleeping well, @MickaC . :( I know how miserable that is.
I think -5c is about my 23f... brrrrr! Here it's 32, so a little warmer but not balmy yet. ☀️
I *do* hear spring birds this morning, though! 🐦
Thank you for the concern.
I really don’t have a sleeping issue, thanks to my nite meds.
These 2 times are just isolated times.
I’ve been kind of going every which direction, with getting ready to list the house, preparing for moving, etc.
I’ve developed a bad habit before bed…..doing some of these brain games online…..need to pick something more peaceful.
😳🤔😳🤔😳🤔😳.

Well.. it's been a very quiet day.. my friend called early afternoon, but other than that I really haven't done or been anywhere of note..

I fell asleep sitting right here at my desk in my office chair at 7pm for a whole hour.. it means I'm going to be up half the night again..

Been watching some stuff on Catch-up TV.. on Discovery Plus... , and now at racing towards 10pm I've put my dinner in the oven..

I had a really exciting day . Gosh, tired me out.
Got this big hair under my chin and I cannot find my tweezers anywhere to get the danged thing out. Searched high and low as they say, though not too high or too low at my age so guess I will be shopping for new set.
I used to need them for my eyebrows...:ROFLMAO:....nuff said

We are waiting for big storm to happen so guess I won't be getting oot and aboot either til it is over and I will just have to live with the hair couple more days.

I did not know we had such a thing for ladies. I will have a look next time I get out.
The eye brows don't need tidying any more and I did manage to get the hair off my chin with left hand last time it grew.

Luckily I don't have any more growing. Just that one big one. I remember my mother had that problem too. Just one under her chin.
She just cut it with scissors and it grew like wildfire. At least when plucked out it takes a while to grow again.

You can get them online.. just google battery operated hair removal... or you can buy them in Stores..or in Pharmacies.. they cost very little to buy!! :)

I received two pkgs of chicken from the weekly good truck. Today I tossed a PKG of preseasoned Sante fe chicken and 6 boneless/skinless chicken thighs into a pan and it all mixed nicely.

Gave a plate to another resident of safe park and chowed down. Tomorrow I'll do a roast they gave also. Yes, half for the other guy.

It was a very busy Friday. I went down and washed clothes a little before 1 a.m. When I came back up, I ate desert and played with Deja a bit. At some point I got some sleep. I had several phone conversations today. My BFF called around 8 a.m. and after we talked I wound up going back to sleep. One of my cousins in South Carolina called and good thing she called when she did. She woke me up...it was around 11 and I had intended to go to the supermarket again and be back by then. Wound up walking over there around 12. After I put the food away, I Swiffered and mopped the floors, also dried and put away some of the clothes.

My son got home earlier than expected and he wanted to get right to transferring the rhythm tracks again for the song we are sending to the sax player. I was tired but hate to say no when it involves getting some studio time in. I readied the song which is on a floppy disk in the Clavinova so he could do what he needed to do. Right as we were working on that, the sax player called to tell me he had sent a "draft" of what he played so I can see if he's on the right track (no pun intended) as far as what I'm looking for. Shortly after hanging up from him, my granddaughter called. And shortly after we hung up, my friend who's doing the video for one of my songs called and said she is almost done. Somewhere in between those calls, I managed to have a piece of the cheese danish I'd been wanting for a few weeks.

After I ate dinner (broccoli salad) and took my medicine, I fell asleep and now it's almost midnight. I'll probably be up for a few hours catching up with what's going on here, watching T.V. and playing online games.

Well after being awakened by some "critter" in my house
walls I will just sit and cuss all day I think....cause I cannot
figure out how the thing got into my walls or whatever...but
it sure makes a racket in middle of nite when roaming around...
40deg F this morning...chances of rain slim for now...no snow
or ice here thankfully....take care all.....:D

They have their ways! I lived for many years in my previous home hearing them in the walls. It drove me crazy. Removed the walls and ceilings and the cement stuff that was inside them. The living room ceiling was removed and a huge amount of dry dog and cat food came tumbling out onto the floor! They had been stealing it from the pet food dishes in the kitchen. But no matter what we did, eventually they would find their way back inside the house. Good luck!

It may be likely mice or maybe a bird, touring the inside walls. 🤔.

Well, yesterday we mixed up 2 big batches of our special "harvester & leaf cutter ant kill" ...dosed our few mounds and went to the neighbors and did her huge colonies of them as well as neighbor up the street. We thought about starting a biz, but this is hard work...lol. This homemade stuff doesn't just chase them away, it TKO's any kind of ants.

Now we are both stiff...lol. So won't do much today except make spaghetti for dinner and water the hanging ivy that goes all across the back of the hallway. Hope you have a really good day, folks - enjoy!

Today I am going to be spending the day with my daughter. We will be having lunch at a Tea place and then in the evening going out to a cafe where they play music and will have drinks and dinner. We also may walk around this one nearby town that has water if the wind calms down. If not we will stay at her home and chat.
