Good heavens, I don't know what it is called, Just go in the kitchen, pull out a shot glass or any other little glass. Pour a little of what ever you have and give a toast to who it is on your mind.
Thank God above that you are still breathing and say a little prayer for the person who has driven you to drink.

The snow this morning made my plans a 'no go', but, but, but, I had a lovely afternoon.

The lovely lady from across the road sent her great neice and a friend to clear the snow from the pavement outside my house.
They soon cleared the snow away, then they asked me if I wanted my paths around the house clearing too, I told them, '"Yes please".
One of the girls said that they were collecting for a youth club in the area, so I shoved £50 in their hands, then told them to knock on the doors of the other houses, and volunteer to clear the snow away from those houses. They did, and were joined by two boys also with shovels.
I had an early meal, then went out to see how they were getting on, and I was surprised and really pleased to find that the little gang had cleared practically the whole street's pavements.

The lovely lady from over the road brought me a bowl of rice pudding, I sat her down and poured us both a large single malt, then she told me that her great neice and friends had raised over £400 for their club.

"You're trying to get me drunk", Timmy, said, The Lovely Lady.

"Whatever gave you that idea", I asked, "D'ya want another." 😊

Now lovely people, I want your help.

I want to make an anonymous donation to this youth club, so how do I go about transfering money into their club without them knowing it's from me? 😊

@timoc
Can you send a cheque to the club, and put in a note that you wish to stay anonymous?

Last night my hand was shaking, so my 4.5 year old grandson doled out my rice & beans for me. Last week he started telling me he loved me. ❤️

Today, I want to have a silly day, where I laugh at most things and just take it easy. Do a few chores, very few; read with my cat sitting on me.
Sounds perfect... and how did it go???

Tomorrow is planned... So, we leave here at 8:00 in the morning, for a 1 and 1/2 hour drive to the BIG city... Pick up Mother-in-law, drive her to the doctors, Take her out for lunch, drop her off at home, and then a 1 and 1/2 hour drive home...And if we get home early enough, stop in the gym for an hour...

I was planning to take a walk downtown to pick up some treats for Deja but after receiving notification from Google that my storage space is getting low, I clicked the link to clean up my files and wound up spending a couple of hours deleting some documents and videos. First I had to make sure the important ones were stored either on an external drive, in my iDrive account or another Gmail account. I managed to free up 4GB of space.

By the time I finished that and ate lunch it was too late to change clothes and walk downtown. Traffic gets very busy and sometimes downright crazy around here on week days the closer it gets to 3 o'clock. I got stuck in that situation a couple of months ago and could hardly cross the street to get home. I napped, watched a couple of my shows and watched CatTV with Deja.

Yesterday I should have crossed the Pennines for two days of photography at a Heritage Railway steam gala, staying in a hotel last night. Due to the weather warnings and road conditions I decided not to risk it. So - today, it's nice and sunny here but cold - so I'm off to the local nature reserve to see what wildlife is about.

tell me about it, I did it for many years when I had to be up at 4.30 am for work...

That said our clocks don't go back until the Sun 26th March
Hollydolly .... remember it's Spring FORWARD, Fall BACK... only 2 weeks away. What has happened to the year?

It's a lovely bright day here. Yesterday, a digger cleared the road and then the pavement. Unfortunately he dumped the snow from the pavement on to the road so I had to clear it away from the end of the drive. Hopefully the weather will be OK tomorrow as we're off to the theatre again to see "The Pirates of Penzance" . I enjoy the odd bit of Gilbert & Sullivan.

At long last, the postie has made it to the village. Received our tax code - great, the pension is up, but because they haven't increased the tax free allowance, the tax has gone up! Gives with one hand and takes away with the other. Between Mrs.L and myself we just might cover the increase in electricity and council tax.

I had made tentative plans to go out and get some grocery shopping today.. but it's still raining, and because our roads are not being maintained ( country wide).. there are potholes everywhere, and so often I cant see the holes because they're filled with water, which means big damage to the car. Thousands of people all over the country have had serious damage caused to their cars, and are getting nowhere trying to sue the council, so until they start fixing road, I'm going to try and not go out when it rains or is dark...

The forecast all week has been for a big dump of snow…..
Did the grocery store thing and dog food thing at the vet on Monday…..but have only gotten some fluff.
So, did the med refill yesterday, just in case, still nothing but fluff…Happy….Happy.
Today and tomorrow still talk of a big dump…..this weather is supposed to be coming from Montana, but we don’t usually get much from there…..but I’ve been wrong before.
I guess it’s not spring yet.
Lots of things to do inside till time to shovel.

Gave up trying to get through to the government about info on my old age pension…..online and phone…..average waiting time on phone, 45 minutes…..or call back again.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. So what else is new.
Contacted my accountant, yesterday, got my info…..so…..frustration over.

Going around the house collecting things to list for sale, nothing big, just small stuff…..should be coming to an end soon.

Since I woke up at 5 am this morning I have been arguing with My hard-headed husband. He has a lump on his knee. He is scheduled for knee surgery in June because both his knees are shot. His Dr can't see him for almost 2 weeks. We have an Urgent Care about 5 minutes from where we live. I can't convince him to go. As soon as I know my Grandson is awake I am calling him to take my hubby to Urgent Care. Wish me luck.

Well, we finished cleaning up around the big rainbow tree that fell down... so Pedro can mow around it.
Have an insurance man coming this morning to look at our home and our neighbors...we both want to save some money on insurances. Other than that, probably making a Chinese meal for dinner. Enjoy, folks!

I ran errands yesterday....I bought groceries at Walmart instead of my regular grocery store, I needed several hardware items so just bought what gro I needed there, also bought a few plants for pots on the patio, they'll have to stay in the garage for a while....couldn't resist those pretty pink blooms.

My son needed to speak to someone at EZ Pass a couple of days ago. The AI told him he had a 40 minute wait. He just did other things while waiting. He and I talked while I prepared my pill cases. As I was about to show him how to place medication orders for me, a representative finally got on the phone. It was about 40 minutes. When I have a long wait, I'll usually put it on speaker and do something on the computer. I don't trust when they give the option of having someone call me back. I wait rather than call again because it's likely I'd still encounter wait time.
