On my early walk this morning around 6:30 walked to the corner of my street and back. It was still a bit dark wore my yellow reflector vest, not much traffic, but heard the birdies chirping
My friend,Mary&I went at 10am on our weekly 'road trip' to Target, needed couple of items, then we went to a small plaza she needed to buy a bottle of wine she's taking to friend's house for dinner. I went into our favorite $store{now items cost $1.25} bought 2 lavendaer air freshners,2 bxs of cookies
After lunch& short nap{15min}strolled down the street to the mailbx, continued onto my friend Marcia&Dave's house'spur of the moment'. I had an article for them, plus this month's issue of Smithsonian. When I stepped on the porch Tage started barking I knocked on door walked into the house, he was so happy to see me whole body was wiggling jumped on the sofa tail still wagging. I hadn't seen Marcia in a couple of weeks, nice visit, made my day

Today I will do my morning walk. Then breakfast and not long after that my aide should be here. I think I will take her downstairs and show her how I do my laundry. Then if I need her to do it anytime in the future she will know how to do it (the way I do it). For now though......coffee!

Steak enchiladas or chicken chimichangas? My big decision tonight. Today is ❤️Grandson Day❤️ and I am staying over for dinner. Think I'll end up with my usual. Can't resist those steak enchiladas!

Working with therapist re: AccessARide.

Going through storage drawers and culling the contents. When I moved, things got shoved here and there and never really sorted out. I got rid of old papers that are no longer applicable to my situation (having to do with my former residence) and brochures that are up to 5 years old, like Medicare pamphlets and booklets. My recycle bin will be more filled than usual.
(y)(y) excuse me imposter... what did you do with our Deb :sneaky:....

...proud of you..

Garlic water? Do tell...
@Georgiagranny

Yes i read this last year , Heres the receipe
Use garlic to deter slugs
Take two full bulbs of garlic and add them a saucepan containing
two litres of water. Boil gently until soft and then use a fork to
squash the bulbs down, releasing as much of the garlic and juice
as possible. Pour the solution through a sieve to remove the skins .

Put it in a spray bottle , Ive just sprayed the new Hosta shoots coming through
and fingers crossed it works , as the shoots get bigger and the leaves open i shall spray some more.

Edit , Over winter i kept it in water bottles , and noticed how they expanded , every so often i opened the tops to let the air out , otherwise it might explode

On my early walk around 6:30 went to buy some milk, still wore my yellow reflector vest since it was still dark outside
This morning will be walking to Canopy of Neighbors office to do some filing, last time I was there was 3 weeks ago. I enjoy being in the office much more than calling members. I have 4 people from my original list I call twice/month stay in contact with
I hope to get another walk in this afternoon before the rain/temps/winds pick up

Went grocery shopping yesterday....nothing pressing on my 'to do' list today I have 2 beds of roses that are knee deep in leaves that I could do, but I think I'll save it for the man that helps me with yard work. I did finally finish the annual patio cleanup...got the cushions out and plants potted...looks good.

Morning folks.....36deg F here this mornin, see a hint of sunshine, up to 55 or so today, no rain skeduled...dunno for
sure what I'm about today...got a bit of laundry to do...may
try a method of using ammonia soaked rags to drive critters
out from under house...they have dug so much around foundation that it really worries me...owner does not help much
much...so make it a good day.....oh and trying to decide about
my computer issues....:giggle:

Back from the shops where we spent a small fortune. Beef, pork, lamb and gammon were on a half price offer in Tesco - still expensive at that, but we'll have some nice Sunday dinners. Weather is a bit miserable - damp and foggy. No gardening this afternoon.
is that nationwide at Tesco.. or just today at your local store, Capt ?

Dio and I are both starting the day by feeling better!
emoticon
!!!!

Dio is getting ready.....he wiill be leaving for Branson, in 45 minutes or so. They are having a DARE party, and they are incredibly understaffed! The other deejay will be working for this party, and the owner of the rink will be in the snack bar. Dio is going to do the office/front window duties.

Later this morning, I'll be leaving for my Mom's house. Today is our "all day" day. We'll see what mischief we can get into! 😁Have a great day, everyone!

"Tired" does not even touch how I feel today....

Younger granddaughter was sick enough to require a trip to the ER yesterday evening (nothing life-threatening, she was discharged home), so older granddaughter came home with me and spent the night. I'm used to sleeping by myself, with the room dark. 15 watt light on all night, so I didn't get much sleep. Had to get up at zero-dark-thirty to get her to school on time.

As soon as I can get my bedding put back on the bed after laundering, it's NAP time for moi!
