Doing a boo hoo task today, hubby's clothes are going to the men's shelter. But will smile thinking that someone will wear them now. Paul never did, he bought clothes but never wore anything other than tees and sweatpants. A lot of stuff with tags still.

Not sure if I should donate socks and underwear?
Must be a very hard task, Lee…..take your time.
Many will appreciate your donations.
My thoughts are with you. 🌹🌹🌹.

No scheduled obligations today, so I decided to take the day off.

Then I received an email about my Internet domain name expiring soon. I just renewed it this month. So I had to have an online chat with the hosting company. Finally, the representative determined that the email was spam. Surprising, as it looked very authentic.

So much for my day off. On the plus side, I think it wore me out enough that I'll have zero ambition for the rest of the day, and I won't be tempted to do anything.

Had to pick up my younger granddaughter from school before lunch r/t being sick. Stayed with her til regular babysitter came at 3:00. Hopefully not contagious =(

Now home... those SE storms made it to our area (nothing severe so far), so indoors, sipping coffee (yes, at 4:45--I couldn't stay awake) and just puttering.

Hi, kids. I've been home for hours. Right after work DD and I went to the garden centers. I left somewhat lighter in the pocketbook. Came home and spent all the rest of the afternoon playing in the dirt and planting flowers. They haven't all been planted, but tomorrow's another day, right?

The 6am-10am shifts for tomorrow and Wednesday? Not. Sir said to work my regular 6am-12pm shifts. OK. I like paydays.

The store manager really did send a real person yesterday! She has bakery experience and has been working in another department all this time. What? We've been begging for help, but they couldn't just have sent her sooner? Well, we have her now, and Sir said he understands that she is going to be a full-time bakery person. Woohoo and stuff! I'm a happy camper baker!

do you need to talk or cry, it is bad to hold it in. Maybe your daughter can offer comfort or advice. Must be heartbreaking to go through alone.
Thanks Blessed, yes it's very hard not going to pretend otherwise. It's past midnight, so I can't call DD.. and anyway, I don't like to burden her with this She and I are meeting up for a belated Mothers day this weekend coming.. so I'll tell her about it then.. but there's nothing she can do.. and anyway it gets boring listening to someone else problems..

I wish the text hadn't come so late in the evening ( 10.30pm ish ).. it means now I'll have it whirring in my mind all night preventing me from sleeping.. ..really need to talk to someone, but of course it's past midnight, so it's far too late...

The lovely lady from across the road telephoned me in a panic, she asked me to go over the road and see if she had dropped her bunch of keys in her pathway. I left my cornflakes and ran ( well sort of fast shuffled) over there and found her keys in her front door. Ten minutes later she rang me again and was relieved to know that I'd found her keys.

"Hang on, how did you manage to leave the house and leave your keys in the door, surely you would just pull the door shut when you left," I asked.

"Tim, thank you, as I was leaving, I did just pull the door shut, but I heard my house phone ringing so I had to use my keys to get back into the house to answer the phone, then I left in haste to catch the bus and left the keys in the door, aren't I a total idiot," she replied.

"Well, you're the best looking total idiot I've ever met." I told her.

"I'm bringing back a big steak and kidney pie, you can come over later and share it with me, after I've given you a slap, you cheeky bugger", she laughed. 😊

Well, the steak and kidney pie was delicious, I hope she loses her keys again tomorrow. 😊

Had a park resident change out the wheel bearings. The ordeal of just getting it and waiting till the repair was done, had me lay down for an hour, so I'll be up late.

Still very tired from just a simple excursion of riding a bus and lugging a 40 lb car part, thank God the place had a bag I could use to carry it home.

After limited sleep last night, a woodpecker decided I should be wakened early. It’s been a long day. Laundry and cleaning. Sorted through the rag bag, which is really a plastic laundry basket. I don’t know why we kept every old towel or dish cloth, etc. Groceries, glasses adjustment and a walk. Played bridge tonight. It had been over a month and we did ok.

Off to bed soon and I don’t want Woody waking me tomorrow.

Those pesky woodpeckers, Jules, are yours like this? 😊
