What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Murder in the Coalfield - NF. 6 part series. A police series set in eastern Germany. Rather interesting to see the setting and living conditions. 2/5.
I tried it but did not catch my interest. I was having a migraine that day so I will give it another chance.

2012...for the second or third time. @officerripley A friend of mine told me that M3gan is really good, but I haven't watched it....don't know if I will. Did you think it was good?
@Jules..I've seen the ads for Die Hart but I've never been a Kevin Hart fan for some reason, so it's not likely I'll watch. I do like when movies are short though
.

I just watched Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro on Netflix. This is not the Disney version, but rather a re-imagining of the 1883 original with darker and more adult themes. The character of Geppetto, Pinocchio’s creator, is fleshed out, given a backstory, and far more central to the film. There’s no Jimminey Cricket here, but rather Sebastian J. Cricket, a rather bookish and intellectual anthropomorphic insect with six limbs who serves as Pinocchio’s conscience. Painstakingly filmed in stop-action photography, this remarkable film can be clever and funny, but is set in fascist Italy, and is far more than entertainment for children…recommended!

I revisited Key Largo on the TCM network last night, and dang, what a high to see Edward G, Robinson and Humphrey Bogart together in the same film! I’m a sucker for any kind of old-school gangster movie, actually!

All is lost featuring Robert Redford
This isn’t a movie for everyone. It’s very slow paced but I like it. It’s a movie that has no talking in it except one f bomb near the end.

For myself, this movie gave me a big dose of gratitude. I found the movie’s pace and subject matter to be very soothing but I’m not sure why.

It’s definitely very different from your average movie.

I watched this yesterday and I'd like to give it good reviews as I'm a fan of Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe, but, um....
Has anyone else seen this?

To celebrate Passover, I watched The 10 Commandments, starring Charlton Heston. That was a remarkable movie, considering it was made in the 1950s. This evening, I'm watching a documentary on the making of the 10 commandments.

Watched 'Zardoz' again hoping it wasn't as bad as I remember.

IT WAS!

Rambling story, no character development, and that outfit of Sean Connery's was over-the-top bad.

Another span of time I'll never get back...

Watching "American Friends" from 1993, set in Oxford, England in the mid-1860's by the look of the ladies' gowns. A young Alfred Molina, Trini Avarado, and Michael Palin star. Very Edith Wharton/ EM Forester/ Henry James-esque story. Love it! (And glad I don't have to wear those ridiculous dresses/ corsets!!!)
The movie is a gem. I watched it in the 1990s for the first time and never forgot it, until I found it again this year on Youtube:

"Those ridiculous dresses/corsets?" Objection! I didn't wear such dresses but I wore a men's corset (Axfords) and still own it.

Gweneth Paltro was in the news lately, so I searched for one of her movies and took Seven out of the library. I could not get past the first 20 minutes and shut it off. It was just a gross display of sadism in the murdering 7 people for the 7 deadly sins and much too graphic.

I have seen that movie and felt the same way about it. It was visually disturbing and I regretted watching it.
