What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

NF. Murder Mystery Season 2 with Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler. A silly, comedy that was only 90 minutes. No complaints, it was what I expected. Considering the locations and the salary for either of those two, it sure would have cost a fortune.

I watched the movie Eerie on Netflix last night, and was expecting great things due to some of the reviews and comments posted, things like “don’t watch this alone!,” and “you’ll sleep with the lights on!” - - Phooey! - - I’ve seen scarier stuff at Walmart shopping.

Yes, old order nuns can be scary, especially at an old girls-only school where a student death occurred. There is a ghost, and some possessions going on. But to me, it was more mildly creepy than eerie. I’ve seen these themes far better developed and portrayed, in Japanese horror and elsewhere.

But maybe I’ve just grown jaded in my old age as a lifelong horror fan…

It's rated 4.7 out of 10 on IMDB so it's not just you. :)

Dark Passage 1947 with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall and Agnes (Endora) Moorehead.

This movie was on the TV in our room during our honeymoon in 1984 but I'm certain I didn't watch the whole thing at that time.

All is lost featuring Robert Redford
This isn’t a movie for everyone. It’s very slow paced but I like it. It’s a movie that has no talking in it except one f bomb near the end.

For myself, this movie gave me a big dose of gratitude. I found the movie’s pace and subject matter to be very soothing but I’m not sure why.

It’s definitely very different from your average movie.
This movie's been on my watchlist. I know this film but haven't watched it yet. This movie's like Locke, right? A 'one-character' movie. I've watched the director J.C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year starring Oscar Isaac.

The House on Netflix is a movie trilogy of short stories, filmed in stop-motion animation, that all center about the occupants of a sprawling house at different points in time. The stories are cute and charming at times, but underneath is an exploration of fears and dread. Two of the three stories involve anthropomorphic animal characters, which is right up my alley as a furry. The third tale is my favorite, centering on a hard-working calico cat who simply wants to convert the house into apartments, but has a multitude of problems with the house and it’s tenants along the way…

Paycheck, a sci fi adaption from the author, Philip K Dick, who had been mentioned in a recent thread, and who had written Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which was made into the first Blade Runner movie. Paycheck held my attention and I'd give it stars, but was not as riveting as Blade Runner which became my standard for science fiction movies for many years.

On Easter we watched a very clean Hallmark type film called 'The Resurrection of Gavin Stone'. It was a nice movie. Even my husband enjoyed it. It was on Netflix.

Last night, I watched Infinity Pool. It may be a straight to DVD film. I won't recommend it, but it is a powerfully disturbing fantasy film. I watched, because I wanted to see how it ended, but there were times, I felt like I shouldn't be watching stuff like this. It's a sick film, which did have some favorable reviews, but it's got some repulsive stuff in it.

Check out the trailer for Air, an upcoming movie from director Ben Affleck. Air stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Matthew Maher, Marlon Wayans, Jay Mohr, Julius Tennon, Chris Tucker, and Viola Davis.

I've been watching Beef, which is a limited series on Netflix. It's the funniest thing I've seen in quite a while.
I’ll have to add that one to my ‘must watch’ list.

Your Place or Mine - NF. Hallmark type. Not sure why we watched the whole thing.

There’s a Ghost in the House - NF. Light.

Also watching Wellmania (NF Australia) and Unstable with Rob Lowe. Watching a little bit, here and there.

Nope.
:D That is the name of the film. Horror/Sci Fi.
Never thought I would get to the end though it intrigued me to "see" the Alien.
Slow paced but rather engrossing.
Like no other Sci Fi/Alien film I have seen.
Would be great to watch it with a very good sound system.
Not to everyone's taste. I am glad I saw it through to the end.

We saw Renfield today at the theater. It was very entertaining. Nicholas Cage was amazing as Dracula. It was entertaining, with some funny moments.
