Today I'm starting with a search for a scrap yard that I'm told has an intact steam locomotive in. Then I'm going down Wensledale to photograph at least one waterfall - maybe more. This evening our son and his partner are coming to visit and stay over. A fridge full of craft beer awaits! :)

I woke up. So far that's today's only achievement:)
It's time. 🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐
Heartless! That's what it is. I was puttering around the kitchen this morning trying to decide what to have with my :coffee: and nothing sounded good. I thought "I wish I'd have one of @Georgiagranny 's croissants" and right there you have six of them in my face and I can't take a bite! 🤷‍♀️

Oh dear, Mrs.L has just bought some bark to mulch round some of the plants.

Stones.. it just depends where you buy them. The last place you want to go is a garden centre or DIY store. Best place is a quarry or large builders' merchant. For the size you want it will probably cost around £200 + delivery.
I looked online, can't find anything cheaper than £600 .., astonishingly expensive.....

woke way too early, 4am, dang itchy dry skin, so here I am...
no clue as to what I'll be doing, except did get bunch of bills
in the mail to pay....temp will be about 75F or so later today, no
more rain, ....one groundhog taken away to live somewhere
else, one more to go....catch you later.....;)

On my early walk around 6:30 walked halfway on my street, not much traffic, heard birdies chirping couple people walking their dogs, temp was 45
This morning going over to my close friends Marcia&Dave's house at 11;30, I'm dog sitting with my 'buddy boy', Tage while Marcia goes to our church for this month's Passages program. Every time I visit he gets so excited when he sees me,tail wagging, looking forward to some TLC with him such a sweet dog He turns 2 next month
This will be the highlight of my day

It may depend on where you are, but I've been looking at both builders merchants and specialist suppliers and unless you want something very specific, the prices are not too bad. eg. Homebase Cornish shore pebbles 20-40mm is £150 for 750kg. or premum Scottish cobbles £242 for 750kg.

I cannot tell a lie.
I SLEPT in this morning !!!!!!!!
Got up at 5 to put the coffee on, as always, went back to bed till it was ready, like I always do…..fell asleep…..woke up at 7…..I hate when I do that. 🥴.
Coffee with a friend this morning…..CAPPUCCINO!!!!!!!.

Killed almost 2 hours while the house was being showed yesterday, 2 sets of clients, started at 4, done at 5:45…..guys were so starved….their supper was an hour and a half late !!!!!! But they made it through.

Went for a routine dr visit. My BP was higher than usual...so when my personal care aide comes tomorrow my doc wants her to take it again, and message her the numbers. While I was in Rochester, I also stopped at Wegmans....because that is what I do. If you do not have a local Wegmans, you stop when you can.
I mentioned to a staff at Wegmans about how it is nuts that we do not have one here in my county as we are considered "too small a market". He agreed that their criteria was dumb.
We have a Wegmans; love that store.

The only white ones on Homebase are £437 for 750 kilo... and I need 1000 kg, minimum

I do have a Zoom mtg. w/therapist which I'm thinking of cancelling, but I really shouldn't & won't. Laundry too, beautiful day outside, I'll just do my "best" that's all I can do.
That's all you can do, no-one can ask any more of you than that.. and if you've really tried your best, then you can't ask any more of yourself... (y)

Ah, I see you want white ones. I was looking a mixed ones, nevertheless I have seen ads. for white pebbles in either 800kg bags or 50x20kg bags for around £250. Don't know how much delivery would be or whether there are suppliers in your area. Hope you find something suitable.

A cautionary tale. Our farming friends wanted a load of pebbles and specified a size of 3 - 4 inches. The lorry duly arrived and they pointed out where they wanted the stones tipped. It was only then that they found the order had been messed up and they were given a pile of 3/4 inch stones.

Thanks Capt.. yes white ones... It's going to be a problem even if I get them because nowhere will deliver into the back garden.. it's the same with pallets of anything else.. bark, compost etc.. they only drop it out front.. so then I have to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to shovel everything into a trolley to take around the back in many, many trips.. might be time for me to get that wheelbarrow.. if I can find an affordable pebble supplier in the first place.....

With regard to my OA which has in the last few months got much, much worse.. seems to have inflamed to a huge degree very fast... , and after yet another painful sleepless night, I finally called the Doctor this morning. In fact I used E-Consult because when calling the surgery here there's never any appointments available within the next 30 days, unless it's a dire emergency ..so I used the aforesaid online e-consult for the first time , which asks you to describe the problem you're having, which I did, and the surgery called me back 2 hours later with an appointment for this Friday morning... Thank goodness !
