Same here; I've been wondering that about me and my parents a lot lately. Why did my parents have me?
Also, who was Jack the Ripper?

Not a great mystery but I watch The Curse of Oak Island. Is there anything really there? Or are those poor people wasting their time and money?
Amelia Earhart…Many people that study aviation history believe that they flew into a long line of very strong headwinds. Being out over the Pacific, there really was nowhere to land. Fighting to get through these headwinds used up a lot of fuel in such a lightweight plane. Most likely, they ran out of fuel and crashed into the ocean. It’s a very plausible reason, but because no evidence of a breakup was found, it was never proven. This mystery will never be solved, unless someone decides to do an underwater exploration like they did when they found the Titanic. What really happened to Amelia Harhart?
Did she survive on an isolated island?
Was she really on a 'Spy' mission to record the Japanese build-up in the Pacific, as thought?
On a science theme, what is 'Dark Matter'? keep hearing it makes up 98% of the Universe,
but scientist don't have a clue what it is!
(sorry, that's two)
So many mysteries out there.
The ship was called the Mary Celeste. The name Marie seems to have arisen from a mistake in the subsequent enquiry. Like all mysteries there are lots of theories and conspiracies as to what happened. What really happened on the Marie Celeste
Relate question. Is there intelligent life on this planet? Is there intelligent life anywhere else in the universe?
I like that show too.Not a great mystery but I watch The Curse of Oak Island. Is there anything really there? Or are those poor people wasting their time and money?
I don't think I'm buying anything but I'm watching the show.Poor people ? Those guys are making money hand over fist looking for that 'loot' . Paid by the sponsers , who's products are bought by the people that waste their time watching that show.

That’s another issue I thought about. They know where she took off from, but how do they know exactly where they lost contact? To the best of my knowledge, I don’t believe there were any towers in that area back then and the only way communications were established was by using other planes to relay information. That’s the way they did it back in the days before we had so many towers erected.Part of what makes it so strange is the fact that , as per the Itasca , they know almost exactally where they lost contact . Which [as i read it] means they know almost exactally where she would have crashed ??
LOL ... My mother always said Earhart & Noonan eloped.
I think so. Pretty sure they lived across the street when I was a kid, after the couple retired to Florida. My mother always said Earhart & Noonan eloped.
