What are you doing today 2023

The last few days I have had people over for dinner and games and I am exhausted. Today I am doing laundry and walking my dogs. I moved my summer clothes to the front of the closet and the winter ones to the back.

Since I downsized my clothes I can find everything easily. I only have enough to fit in slightly less than half a closet using the double rods.

What games do you and your friends enjoy, @Teacher Terry ?

~More family reunion conversations about updating our contact list and who all has been contacted already. I didn't attempt to contact our
cousin Keith David because he's an extremely busy actor and I figured he wouldn't be able to come to N.J. for a two day event. Our coordinator and I both heard that he had moved from the address we have. She said a family member is trying to get more info about that and she'll contact him, so I'm happy about that. I just reminded myself, our Conn. relatives can probably get in touch with another actor in the family, Kendra Johnson because she's part of the Conn. branch.

~I wrote a couple of Amazon reviews
~Napped, watched TV and played games.

Gosh, I miss those family reunions. With my family we had a lot when I was a small child and then they stopped. When I met my future husband at fifteen who had a large family, I was included in those.

Those were very, very happy times. The older generation is gone now and now I am of the older generation but am not included since my husband died. A lot of circumstances are related to this not my decision. Our son, however is, so that is enough for me. I love my husband's family and to my knowledge there is only one person that causes the problem. My husband warned me before his death so I was not at all suprised.

I would never speak the truth of it, so I am fine with being excluded due to that persons slander. It is what it is I am not about to lower myself to that level. I will be where I was in life in the ever after, they maybe not so much. They have done this to more than one family member. So, so sad for all of us.

Vintage events are great for getting dressed up, meeting friends and having fun. In the UK we have railways known as "Heritage Railways." Rescued from the time in the 60's when a third of our network was scrapped, these heritage railways are run as a business by a few professionals and a dedicated group of active volunteers.

One of the most popular events that heritage railways do is a 1940's occasion, with troop movements, vintage military vehicles and large marquees that double up in the evenings as ballrooms.

The conflict in Ukraine has put a damper on what was once a great party spirit but the popular event is returning, renamed the spirit of the 1930's & 40's. It's that time again and this is what we all look like:

no one in families wanted to watch the coronation so son left em behind and motored down to stay for the w/end as we are staunch! - he bought some dried up roses he had bought for charles marriage to camilla back in the day and will display them one more time! - we had a cook up both takin turns and bottles of this and that then he propped me up in the chair at one point just before the event as I nodded off and then I watched him nodding off but just woke at the right time at the crowning - I'd cooked some lamb chops in an asian sauce and he cooked an authentic indian curry with probably 6-8 herbs and left me 6 packs in the fridge - a throughly good boys week/end with royalty. Good day to ya Sir and Ma'am!!

Nothing exciting, I had a little drink and fell asleep sitting up on the couch. The dogs had been going crazy for a few hours due to a thunderstorm. They woke me, I guess when it broke, as they needed a good pee. I went out with them as they are a little freaked after a storm. Low and behold I had a bunch of branches come down. It was dark so I don't know how bad it is.

Just glad I pulled the car in the garage. Now, isn't that just what I needed. I can barely take care of the inside and do those mundane things, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Son came on Tuesday and cut the grass, so I don't want to call him unless there are branches so big I can't break them down for disposal. I am sure he came during the week as they probably had plans. He normally comes Sunday afternoon. He knows I sleep in the day now and will give me heads up so I can get up and unlock the door.

Big event on the prom today with live coverage by the BBC. Morecambe broke the record for the longest street party at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last year, and this year aims to beat it! It's not just the party - there's a parade and all sort of other stuff going on. Of course, I shall be there taking photos to record the event.📸

Good Morning Breakfast Clubbers....starting the day at 72 deg F,
and going to 94 or so, broke the record yesterday at 92 I believe...now expecting 55% chance of rain, we are very dry here...feeling more human today as pain/itch level way down from a week ago, rash is prevalent yet but subsiding slowly....
Hope everyone enjoys a peaceful day.....🥰

blowing up balloons, hanging bunting, waiting for marquee to arrive, and looking for a bottle opener
what's your weather like ?.. ours is dry but it's grey and damp.. not really suitable for a street party which is a pity, but doubtless they'll go ahead anyway
