On my early morning walk it was 48 refreshing as i went to local store to buy NYT
I've just returned from going grocery shopping, too far to walk took the bus,was back within 1hr
The rest of my day will take advantage of sunny skies, warm temps high today near 70,take a mid morning walk before lunch If it stays this way, might go sit out in the community garden unless I get sidetracked

Yesterday evening was fun with my youngest son coming for a visit; I always enjoy talking with him, he's so knowledgeable and conversation is easy and interesting.

This morning a friend came over and we sat under the trees in my yard, drank coffee and caught up. So lots of 'conversating' going on here =)

The rest of today is open; tomorrow will be jam-packed with volunteering at the library and seeing my Granddaughter in the afternoon. I'm on the way to Ed's house, we'll probably 'do' lunch and visit for part of the afternoon.

Y'all have a lovely day!

Home. It takes me a good hour at least to rest and gather my wits.

Sir was there for inventory at midnight and stayed until about 10:30 to give me a hand. Yay.

Then not-so-yay: his mother died shortly after the respirator was turned off. He had her cremated, and her brothers and sisters are not happy about it because they wanted to see her one last time. What? Where have they been all this time? Sir didn't want them to see her because she looked so bad and said he knew she wouldn't have wanted them to see her, either.

He showed me a picture of the urn he got for her ashes...pretty! It has flowers and a hummingbird on it.

So. Somebody figured out that we had to have our bakery order that didn't get delivered, the truck finished its route, and came back to our store with the pallet. Woohoo. It was a busy morning what with a week's worth of products loaded up on that pallet!

It's already hot. 80 at noon is hot. It's also overcast and humid. Gonna get warmer all week long and the a/c might even get turned on.

Laundry has been started so in a few minutes I'm going out to play in the dirt. There may or may not be a trip to the garden centers this afternoon.

So sorry Sir’s mom but glad you had help this morning and that your delivery came in. Hard to bake without supplies!

take care in the garden, @Georgiagranny ((hugs))

Holly, what is a senior railcard Sue
Sue..it's a discount fares card for the rail network.. seniors get a third off travel on the train when using the Seniors Railcard. We have to pay £30.. for it every 12 months to get the discount card.. and if we travel a lot using the train.. ( as I do usually because I get the train into the city a lot ).. it pays for itself over and over , or it will pay for itself on one trip if we use it for a long train journey within the UK as well. train fares are super expensive here..
