On my early walk at 6:30 went to local store to buy NYT temp was 49
This morning around 8:30,I'll stroll over to my close friends' Marcia&Dave's house to dog sit my buddy boy' Tage' for most of the morning. Marcia is having cataract surgery on her right eye.
Of late, being with Tage for a couple of hrs 1-2 times/ wk has been the highlight of my day, he's such a sweet, loving dog. Whenever he wants some TLC, he puts his paws on my arm, just looks at me,can't resist LOL!

Morning all.....with all the rain and warm days the vegetation around here is growing like crazy, zinnas everywhere, tomato plants 3' tall.....:)
Kinda been in a funk and pain more than usual lately...probably too much sugar..I need to work on that.

Sugar shouldn't cause pain. I don't know where your pain is, but please don't hesitate to seek medical help.

Update: I finished Step 19 (yes, 19 steps!) and 6 hours later the dresser is finished!

Final update: I finally finished the guest bedroom and I thought I'd post a couple pictures of how it turned out after putting together all that furniture! I went for light and airy and hope it gives off that vibe! (I couldn't make myself get rid of the antique chest!)

Took me a while to catch up on this thread. Lots of goings-on with all of you!

Yesterday DH & I worked on cutting the new solar pool cover to fit. Today we'll trim it further and be ready for the season. It keeps the pool warm, drastically cuts evaporation, and reduces the amount of chlorine we have to use. Win/win/win!

I've got some business ordering to do this morning, have to get Roomba started on his rounds, and should put a load of laundry the washer, then will run it for five minutes in the dryer to blow out the wrinkles before letting everything dry completely on my fancy-shmancy dryer that I learned about from @MickaC, right here on this forum!

Only 68° for a high today, but it'll warm up over the course of the week, hitting 92° by Saturday before settling down into the 80s. Fortunately, overnight lows will be about 60°, so with early morning fans in use I probably won't need to flip on the AC just yet.

Today is a 'Hurry Up and Wait Day'

Volunteered at the library; came home to a city water person having dug up my yard around the meter and no water for a little while til he replaed it with a new one. Good thing I did a load of towels earlier this AM. Now I'm flushing the lines.

Also, my younger granddaughter is running a fever this AM and so I'm waiting to see what the outcome of her MD appt is before going down there to spend time with older granddaughter. At the most, I'll pick her (older) up at the door, spend some time at the library or go out for a snack, then bring her home. Don't need to be exposed to more germs than necessary; and yes, I will wear a mask.

I couldn’t live without these drying racks, StarSong……put out a couple on the deck for drying……laundry smells so nice drying outside. 😄😄

Yes, @Pepper , it is arthritis pain, hands and shoulders...... comes and goes, thanks for the concern.
Been outside this morning, bath and then rest for this afternoon.
I know this may sound dumb…but…I love when the heat of the seasons arrive...being outside, getting warm, hot rays, helps with my bones, and feels so good.

Whew! It's so hot that when I finished in the garden (4 hours!), I had to take another shower.

The garden now looks presentable. There are two more plants I want that aren't available yet. Drat. While I was planting, transplanting, arranging, etc., I yanked up weeds that were in the way. Bet they wish they hadn't been born.

This is Buffy. I'm sure you'll all agree with me that she is the most beautiful girl in the world. ❤️

Wonderful photo of Buffy!!!!😻
Thank you for sharing that with us!👍🙂

(As for your comment, I have my dear Pearl, on my lap as I type this; so therefore, I cannot comment on that part.🤫🙄😉🤩🥰)

(pssst....I am sure she can see what I do, even though she pretends to be napping. )

Got a haircut today. This was the third shop I have tried since my old barber retired. I think this guy has potential.

After the trim I decided that I needed a new wisk broom to sweep out the old Dodge. Went to Harbor Freight. First young person had no idea what a wisk broom was. Older lady knew the term but said they hadn't carried them in a long time. Went to a national chain auto parts store and again the young lady had no idea what I was talking about. She went to the store manager and he didn't know the term either.

Returned home with no wisk broom and a feeling of being obsolete in this world......Sigh.

I love the bedroom and especially the antique dresser. Really pretty!!

I had to run an errand for my kids which was a hour each way. Then a friend called in crisis so went to help. Then walked the dogs 2 miles. Trying to decide if I have enough energy for laundry.

Spent a significant time on the phone today. It was texts and phone calls with the sax player about exactly what I want played on one of my songs. I also had a discussion with my friend who's producing my next video about small changes in the footage and adding the images I want her to use. Later in the evening I discussed our next moves in the family reunion planning process with a cousin who is on the committee with me. We need to produce an updated master contact list from additional sources (besides what was submitted in 2016 and 2017 by committee captains in a few states). This has been more time consuming than I expected.

I also spent time looking for a tiny external hard I've apparently misplaced. I wound up purging and reorganizing items in the couple of drawers that I looked through. I rotated Deja's food stock, put some cans in a kitchen cabinet and ordered more food for her from Chewy. I also placed an order for me on Walmart.com, that my son will probably pick up tomorrow. Of course I talked with my BFF this morning, played WWF2, Cody Cross, took a couple of naps and watched T.V. I'm currently doing my ADD version of binge watching Blue Bloods.
