What do you like about yourself?

I saw the thread asking what you dislike about yourself. How about sharing things you LIKE about yourself…..things you’re admired and respected for?

I’ll start: (long list….haha! :playful: j/k)

Physical – legs, lips, teeth, skin
I am dependable and punctual
I am extremely loyal….cannot stand backstabbers ...ugh...:mad:
I am a good friend and will keep a confidence
I am not lazy
I am a straight-shooter

How about you?

Oh I agree with you about most of your statements except skin , I have heaps of trouble, with never ending skin cancers or the potential to turn into S/ C popping up as a result I see my dermatologist twice a year ,my father had red hair and I spent allot of time in the sun when young and paying for it now .....
Good teeth (my own)
Lips well I had a operation on bottom lip for skin cancer .....luckily got it in time ..
All the rest I agree with I HAVE NO TIME for back stabbers or gossipers ..
 
Physical: hair, feet, cheekbones, waist, butt. Traits: compassionate, loyal, protective,irreverent, accountable,creative. To the best of my ability, I try to live an authentic life, embracing growth, and reaching out to others to form meaningful and lasting connections.
 

I am pathologically punctual. Not counting airline arrivals over which I have no control, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've been late to an appointment. On the other hand in dreams I always seem to be late for that final exam in algebra.
 
I am learning to appreciate myself for who I am, taking the good with the bad, the strong with the weak, learning as I go to accept what I have and what I do not, and to be thankful for the life I am living.
 
I am organized, determined, and patient. And nobody makes a better spanokopita (Greek spinach pie) than I do. Nobody.

Can I have your recipe for spinach pie PLEASE ! Glinda , We love anything spinach I have just planted a fresh new lot now it's coming in cold here in Aus ..
 
I, too, have a good record on being punctual. I have an Italian connection and Italians have no such word in their vocabulary. Their very nature is anti-punctual and it has taken a while to learn to live with this behavior. but they have other compensations.
 
I am loyal to a fault to my family and friends..

I have a generous nature,

I am a very good cook..so they tell me

Like Josiah I am almost pathologically punctual.. but I expect the same from others..

I smile a lot..

I work hard

I'm very stoical ( according to my GP)

Physically?.. I have nice legs...and good teeth :D
 
I find it interesting that this thread is a lot shorter than the dislike one, does that say something about what we focus on in ourselves :confused:

For me I have a lot of failings, but have somehow come to accept them, because that is who I am, I still try to improve myself, but don't have a strong dislike any more.

Like others here I am always punctual, and additionally I am a good listener, and a loyal friend.
 
My self sufficiency, I;m making the most of that while it lats.

I also used to be very popular with my subordinates, which I was quite proud of, though I never courted it, quite the opposite, I was a bit of a martinet. Everybody called me Chief (or Dad behind my back!) while my boss, the next rank up, they called by his first name.

Several senior bosses told me they had a waiting list of people wanting to transfer to my department, and they used to use it as a reward! I feel good about that.
 
..and so you should be Laurie, just by that last statement alone we can get the idea that at the very least you're a fair and decent human being..be proud of yourself, you've clearly made a difference in some people's lives. :)

I have the same affliction Josiah... I am patologically EARLY for everything.. and it is annoying to sit there waiting all the time.

I have algebra dreams too..!!!! Mine is always that I am in HS and I have not attended one single algebra class.. until the final exam.. and I have to pass it to graduate.

Are we long lost twins?

I am VERY responsible and detail oriented about my life.. Everything must be taken care of before I can relax. I am very attached to family, particularly my sons.
 
I am honest, trustworthy, loyal to my friends, logical, straight talking and willing to meet what comes my way appropriately.
