My exciting day, laundry and more laundry. Not done with it yet. Stripped the bed, put on fresh sheets and the newly washed comforter. Still have towels to wash from the water heater flood last week.

Into the kitchen, baked a pound of bacon for the week. Made swiss steak, mashed potatos and corn. Made a banana pudding.

I have not felt well this last week so when I felt good today, I got busy. I have been living on junk so I am looking forward to having a home cooked meal. I have been eating some convenience foods but they are not as good as from scratch cooking.

@hearlady, I am so thrilled to hear your good news. It is always such an ordeal to get thru the tests and wait for the results.

@Leann, I am sorry to hear you have covid. Hopefully it has not been to bad. At least, sounds like you had a wonderful vacation!

Also just printed off a return label for a dress I bought which is too long... I could have it taken up.. but the proportions are all wrong.

We had laurels all along our back fence when we brought this home. They were beautiful but were just to much for me to handle. We finally took them out. The neighboors behind had their yard set up like a tiny english garden. All of their ivy took over and covered the fence between us. It was beautiful.

They replaced the fence a few years ago with cedar. They had decided not to let the ivy over take the fence again. They have since sold the home and moved to their lake property. The new owner is letting the ivy go crazy (this is the man that yells at me about the dogs.) I don't care if he lets the ivy go but I will not be the one that will bear the expense of replacing the fence that will not last as long. In the mean while, I will appreciate the beauty of the ivy.
 
Aaaannnnnd it's Sunday. All day yesterday it felt like Sunday, but it wasn't. Now it feels like Sunday again.

If I'm feeling it, I'll get my hair cut after work, and DD and I might do our Walmarting this afternoon.

It's a good day to have a good day. Right?

ETA: Oops. Just remembered that DD and DGD are going to a funeral this afternoon. No Walmarting and probably no haircut. Maybe tomorrow?

Today Im getting my Shades and Hat out as the temps rise I need to be ready .
I woke at 4 30 am this morning , the Crow was calling . I got up and put the bedding in washer , then did a clothes wash , then set the washer to auto clean . I need to clean my windows , the Sun shows every mark up . Right out with the Windowlene .
 
I had such a good time yesterday my heart was singing! My grandson's BD party for his friends was such fun! Sports, bouncy houses, pizza and cupcakes with about 25 happy kids! Then, a walk in the rain through beautiful NYC streets back to son's home. Had a super, fun time.

Today, son coming over by himself later to spend quality time with Buffy. My son demands I feed him. Sure, that can be arranged.
 
Happy Sunday folks!!! It is 55deg F here, brrrrr...up to 75F later on, no rain today....my lawn guy missed me yesterday, to much
to keep up with and he ran out of daylight....slept pretty good
last nite....had Company last eve also, wow....not many folks
bother to come by, but this couple did and stay a couple hours
talking and passing along their gossip LOL....and He is going
to help me pick out a laptop and get it all set up to use....so thats a bonus...the "she" half of the couple just retired last jan
and she is so happy about that...anyway it was good to chat
with some live folks......:)

Yesterday…..was a beautiful day…..spent most of it out side, mowing the back yard, and just stuff to keep me out side.
Today……other than fetch games outside…..but mostly inside stuff, since the smoke is heavy today…..the guys don’t even like to be out in that smoke.

Since I've been out of touch for a while, I admit....I thought that the smoke issues had passed! That smoke is so bad for you....I hope it blows somewhere else for a while.
