hibernating in my room... eating lightly... blowing by dose It's humorous, kind of, that the anti-biotics are working and I can cough more easily but in the short term, it's also opened up my sinuses. I have a severe case of the "DUUUUUHHHHs"

Alternating between Youtube videos, a book ("The Thursday Murder Club"), online games, praying and visiting FB. Nothing mentally strenuous.

Watching one of Kirstie and Phil's UK property shows (their banter tickles me) and the one house they are looking at has a staircase to the top-floor loft that is called (per the owners) "Space saver stairs"-- best I can see, they save space width-wise only; there is a 1/2 step on each rise, alternating sides. I just shudder looking at them, much less thinking about going up and down them, especially with a full basket of laundry, or bulky box. Talke about a FALL HAZARD!! I would be in a heap at the bottom with a goose egg on my head or a broken neck for sure. Are these a popular feature, @hollydolly and other UK friends?
I'm sorry your sick @CinnamonSugar but it sounds like you might be on the mend. I hope so.

How do you you like "The Thursday Murder Club"? Are you reading the series?

..see that's the reason I never have just one pair of specs....hope you get them fixed quickly ...can you just tape it together for now..?

The birdies woke me up this morning at 4:30, went back to sleep until 5:50
On my early walk around 6:15, saw a couple of rabbits as I went to buy NYT,came back and watered plants/flowers in our garden
Today between 10:30- 12:30 my new frig will be delivered,I have taken everything out, tossed anything that was in the freezer

Today I am recovering from two over active days.
No harm done. I just get stupid and forget I am 90 years oldbonk2.gif

But I did get some cheer. My lottery ticket came up with four matching numbers which paid me the grand sum of..... $120🌠🌠🌠🌠
Now I am feel I should spend it on a treat for myself but haven't figured that one out yet.
I will think about it while I do nothing today.
Hope y'all have the best day possible.

I went on my early walk at 6:30 this morning to buy local paper
Around 9:20am,I walked to my church for our 10:30 service which is now in our new renovated chapel, where our summer service will be held until the 1st week in Sept
I got a ride home with my friend Marcia, told her about my frigerator was on its last legs. I've had it for 34 yrs since the day I moved into my apt , had to toss the ice cream, yesterday figured it was time to get a new one. I asked if she would take me to local appliance store,Orvilles to see what they have I took measurements&photos of the frig before hand. The sales rep was extremely helpful, my frig is being delivered sometime tomorrow. They will call to give me a 2 hr window. All I have to do is take everything out to the frig, they will do the rest including taking my old one. I'm so happy, know I will sleep better tonight
I haven't bought a refrigerator probably in as long as you so I don't know how things are done these days. Do they send you a fridge that's been plugged in prior so it's cold or do you have to wait for it to get cold after you plug it in? If so, what will you do with your food until then?
I read an article by an appliance repairman about refrigerators that need servicing the least and mine (a GE was on that list). I've never had a problem with it in all these decades. I hope I didn't just jinx myself ! 😏

No speaking for Sue... but here in the uk, the fridge..or fridge freezer comes boxed. Delivery men usually unbox it, and take away the old one if we want them to... then we have to ensure that the little legs under the fridge are level so the gasses settle.. and leave it unplugged for 4 hours ( or 1 hour if it was transported upright)before then plugging it in...

haha, yep, tried the magnifier on my little flip phone, eyes not
good enuff to see it ......
I have a 30 + magnifier with an integral light, and even with my reading specs on sometimes I have to use it to see tiny print.. perhaps you should get yourself one to cover any future specs catastrophes..:D...they're cheap to buy online

You put your food in a cooler with ice so it doesn’t go bad because it takes awhile for a new refrigerator to get cold.

yes I do that too.. or if I know in advance I'm buying a new friedge, I just use everything up first.....years ago before I had cool boxes, I used to run an inch or 2 of cold water in the bath and put the food on baking trays in there to keep it chilled..until the fridge was ready
