Dropping by, this evening, to say hello, to all of you.
Nice to catch up a little bit.

Busy day today, with phone calls over details for the coming week, of medical issues for DH.
I got a few small tasks done, too, which is all I am able to do, myself, but glad for those bits of progress.
We're both hanging in here, okay so far.

Have been seeing male and female cardinals, out my window, the past few days and today. Love to see them.

Take care, each of you.

I'm packing the campervan and we're running away for a while. Going to see some more National Trust properties that have been closed since Covid came along. Much of the time was spent in carrying out repairs and restoration, so everything should be looking good.
shame the sun has gone for a few days now.. but I know you'll enjoy your trip anyway :)

I have no plans for today. It's still warm, but it's cloudy. I've been out and about most days this week. At this point on a weekend I would usually do some catching up of programmes I've recorded on tv during the week.. but as you all know I lost all those this week when the Q Box went wrong... bit like an external Hard drive...if it goes wrong you lose everything on it.. but unlike an External Hard-Drive, we can't have more than one Q Box...
. We're forecast for some rain tomorrow..for the first time in weeks, so hopefully we'll get that, but I might put the hose on the garden today anyway...,

Daughter and I had tentative plans for today. However, due to the risk of rain and possible thunderstorms, we'd rather not risk it for a biscuit as it goes 🤣🤣🤣

We'd prefer to keep the storm clouds away, far away ⛈️⛈️⛈️. Nevertheless, we know how Mother Nature loves to shine the sun in us for days on end, while them rays suck up the beautiful Clyde and then obviously that water accumulates as cumulus and any other kind of storm clouds... Of course!!!

Thankfully, it slightly cooler in and outdoors so a relief. Sadly, we'll have to put plans in hold, but finally relaxing in the knowledge that thunderstorms might come but our minds are at peace... Phew! What a blessing after nearly four years... Exhales heavily and feel better soooooo... much better.

Currently, watching Trooping The Colours parade on BBC. Being gobsmacked by all the poor souls who've lost their lives in the BREAKING NEWS lines below with "A family of two adults, two children found dead in a flat in West London" then "41 dead in a school attack in Uganda with many victims, children " 😢😢😢 and last "Over 500 missing from boat which sank off Greece recently "

Just plain gawdawful. May all these poor souls find Peace... So sad!

Finally, I'm off to continue writing my Poltergeists experience in my youth onto my lovely blog. It should make an interesting read for some of you.

Later y'all LOL... Have a wonderful lightning/thunder free rest of day... Blessed be!

Having lunch today with friends in St. Cloud, Florida. Received an e-mail from some other Marines living here in Florida that want to get together in St. Cloud for lunch today. So we thought we would try to make it, Traffic is really bad in that area because we will have to travel near Disney to get to it, which means a lot of traffic delays on I-4. I am a patient person, except when it comes to sitting in traffic.

Prepping for Father's Day.
Clam dip. Cutting up cantelope. Lemon blueberry loaf cake.
Homemade Old Bay seasoning for shrimp that will go in shrimp salad.

Sam's sells these big bags of frozen large shrimp, peeled, no tails and de-veined for a reasonable price. They can be seasoned up for lots of dishes. They're probably farm raised, maybe not like fresh local shrimp but good for some purposes.

Alone at work today. All alone:cry:.

The new croissants? They're almost all still there from yesterday. Aside from looking different than what we had been making, we've been instructed to use the same containers, and since they're smaller, they don't fill it up and make a very unattractive package. They only have a two-day shelf life, so there will a couple of dozen packages on the "reduced" shelves tomorrow.

It was 85 already at 11am. Too hot to work in the garden. Too hot out there to do anything at all so I won't. I'll just sit inside and stay cool.

DD and the g'kids got DSIL a new recliner for his man cave for Father's Day. A really pricey new recliner with heat and massage and cupholders. It does everything except cook dinner. There's probably even an app for that.

This took place a couple of days ago! I went to see my surgeon for the dreaded cystoscopy! It wasn't too bad this time, except for a short pain toward the end! Since the diagnosis of bladder cancer, I was feeling nervous about the result. I still don't know it because he sent the report to my GP who will clue me in come next Tuesday!

One thing gave me hope, though. He said "down the road we will have to do surgery again!" Down the road means one thing to me, I have longer to live than the short life expectancy I had envisioned! More time to mingle! Hooray!!!!

I am having a problem with meal delivery already. Below is a photo of the place where I pick up the meals (red arrow). There's a bus that always parks there before I arrive. It takes up all the parking space near that door forcing me to park further away. I asked the driver to please pull ahead to give the other meal drivers room to pick up the hampers. She said she can't - something to do with the special needs people that ride on it and also help deliver meals. The hampers of food are HEAVY; the hot meal container probably weighs 40 pounds (they put heated bricks on the bottom to keep the food hot which contributes a great deal to the weight). There's another, smaller door (green arrow), but it's always locked. I have to park way to the right of the trash cans (yellow circle) and carry the heavy containers there. After I did the delivery this week, my back hurt. I called the meal center co-ordinator and explained what is going on and to ask the special needs bus driver not to block the pick-up door. He said he can't do that any more than he can tell me where to park.

That is really a shame about the new croissants being such a down-grade, @Georgiagranny
It's less of a rewarding feeling for you, when you make them,
and a loss for all of the people who'd enjoyed them very much, in the past.:(

@MickaC
Thinking of how draining all of the work of a move is, no matter how good the move is for you, in the bigger picture. This part of the process that you are in, is one of the most difficult, in my mind.
Hopefully will give large rewards, later on.

@hollydolly Very sorry that you lost all of those things you'd recorded. Awful for you.:cautious:
Glad you got to go for that swim.

@CinnamonSugar That is so disappointing, that you became significantly ill, on your would-be-wonderful trip.:(

@Mizmo Very sorry that your eye jab had such difficult outcome, this time!

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts, @Kaila Hopefully I’ll feel better soon

Doing a major decluttering.

I have collected a whole lot of technical reference books, way too many. Those are today's target, its hard like giving up old friends. Truth of the matter is I have not used them much in recent years, too easy to just look things up on the internet. Giving them to Goodwill in hopes they can find a better future than just recycling...
