I also have deep mattresses so all my fitted sheets are deep sheets also, so they have no problems staying tucked in... I might get those garters to keep the top flat sheet from coming undone during summer, when that's all I use...instead of a duvet..or comforter
My feet have to be free to move out from under the covers, DH's needs his tucked in securely. So my side's top sheet isn't tucked, his side is.

Ducked outside between rain showers and pulled a few more parts off the Camaro. What a chore it's been. Remove tires, pull shocks, unhook sway bar, drop rear end, remove exhaust system, pull down heat shields. All that just to get a look at the fuel tank.
Next will have to figure out how to drain the tank (full of course), then I can remove it and finally get to the fuel pump. Who ever thought putting a pump inside the tank was a good idea? (love to get my hands on them).

a finger dial telephone
Wow! You were really up to date. A finger dial telephone? We didn't have a dial phone of any kind until the 60s. No kidding. We picked up the receiver and a voice said "Number, please."

It was a far better day today.

Those new 🥐 ? We got printed instructions and actual pictures. There's just one thing, and that is that they are way inferior to the ones we had. Three different employees tried them, each of them at different times, and they each said the same thing: "They're dry." Wut wo! That won't do at all. And the small ones are made in a strange shape that doesn't lend them to making the "croissandwiches" sold in our deli. Oops.

I'm thinking that they won't go over well with the customers. They'll try them because they're all that are on offer but not likely to buy a second time. Next to chocolate chip cookies, 🥐 have been our best selling product. Whatever happened to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

It's hot, but I girded my loins in grubbies and marched my bony self out to the garden to transplant gomphrena that I'd started in a pot. The bunnies, squirrels and deer seem to be extremely fond of itty bitty plants that have just sprouted so genius me got some wire mesh wastebaskets from the Dollar+ store, transplanted the babies, covered them with the wastebaskets so that they still get plenty of water and sunshine. Hope the critters don't figure out a way to get them off.

I'm in for the day.

Woooohooooo..... I did it FINALLY... I got the Sky viewing card to see the Broadband at last.. after jumping through a thousand hoops.... (y)😁

It means I've got all my satellite channels back and can start recording again... but the loss of my many recorded shows, is heartbreaking.... 😞 that's many years of work gone, never to be recovered...

Good for you Holly , give your self a pat on the back , or better still a nice treat .

Has been a busy week with everything…..I guess moving makes that so.
Closed my co-op member account here…..learned that the cash equity that was to be paid out to me when I turned 70…..will be paid out to me now, because of moving…..that will look nice in my bank account….but….I have to do address changes on my drivers license and medical # in order to use one of them for proof……I hadn’t even thought of these changes…..happy to find that out.
Dropped off some address changes that were needed in other places.

Closed my post office box this morning…..paid to have mail forwarded to my new address, for the next year…..why did l do that for so long……because……our government are such slow learners 🤔🙄🥴🙃😒😉.

Got some extra fills on some medications, so I don’t have to fill anything 2 days after moving…….do you want drugs…..I have drugs 😉😉😉.
Also filled up on a few other things.

I can hardly believe….3 more sleeps….till moving day….ready or not….but….I will be ready, I hope.

Whilst I am waiting for the plumber I have been proving how eccentric I am, showing photos of some of my old, pre-technology, type of gizmos. If you want to see an old jukebox, a windup wristwatch, a 1922 wireless, they are called radios these days, a finger dial telephone and a camera that uses celluloid film, you can see them all by clicking here. Just go to page two and scroll down.
I was looking at them earlier and wish I had kept my parents' old stuff. We had a similar phone but it was black and had a little drawer in it. We were so posh that we even had a telephone seat. Do you remember them? they had a little seat and a side table attached for the telephone.

I love old cameras but, your old jukebox is a treasure - I love it! ☺️

Have you checked YouTube? they seem to have videos for everything so there might be a solution posted on there. (y)

This morning cut up a few logs, split the stumps and tossed then into the shed to be piled properly on a wet day. Took the mutts for a walk and met someone coming up to enjoy a rented cottage. I asked if he was ok, seeing his right front fender was brushed back about a foot. He told me he was trying to kill the flies that got into his car...while he was driving. It is starting early this year....lol Tree did not suffer a scratch.
Got my feet up now. cup of tea here enjoying the view. life is still good. llooolll.

I went next door and sat with her dying husband, so she could have a day off. She has a friend that also comes by, but she works and couldn't help today and I thought what the heck, I will sit with him. Half hour after she left, my friend came over and we were playing video games on the husband's game console. He has a very nice setup.

Then Hospice showed up and changed his Morphine bag and checked him out. I didn't say anything of value to her, just talking, but she told us if he starts to vomit or tremble to call her right away. She was there almost 3 hours. The lady came home and she thanked us for giving her a day off. It has been kind of crappy here all day, so it all worked out.

I had a telephone table and seat in the early days of my marriage... I also know the Black Bakelite telephone you had.. it was probably a 346 or 332 model from the 1940's with the tiny drawer in the front.. they actually were produced in white, green and red as well as Black, but black was by far the most common.... ( I'm somewhat of an expert of British vintage telephones, I used collect them and buy and sell ..)... Here in my house, I have 2, 300 model phones, as well as a few 700 series GPO phones from the 60's and 70's.. mainly red and black...
This is the 332 bakelite model from the 1940's with the aforementioned drawer..

Back in 1976 I did something similar. (distracted). Damage didn't look all that bad, but, uni-body was pushed back about 3 inches and wasn't worth fixing.
