Forgot to mention that today...on the way back to the carpark after walking around the consignment stores, I passed a little museum. Modern in it's style on the outside unlike the London ones, and small with local exhibits.. . I popped in, and was the only person in there except the 2 museum curators. I chatted with them for a few minutes then had a look around the 3 floors of exhibits.. very quickly because it was due to close in 30 minutes..
here's a few pics from there today....

This is a an original Pharmacy counter which opened in 1790.. this would have been how the counter looked in and around 1890.. and it stayed in town until the 60's...

It even had a sloping lidded desk as all good Alchemists should have had back in the day.. The wood was beautiful, and solidly dark reddish brown..kept in low light to preserve it..

Hi @StarSong, I've different types of duvet covers. Some are clear buttons with button holes. Others have wee white clips. I enjoy decorating, so over the years, I've accumulated 4 different styles aka one for each season. It means I've a duvet set for winter, one Spring, Summer and Autumn.

I also have two duvets. 4.5 TOG for the summer months and a 10.5 TOG for the colder months. Plus a cheeky one for the Christmas Holiday Season lol!

The triple head clip set I've got are to put at each corner of mattress to hold fitted and waterproof sheets. These are what they look like:
Living in So Cal means one wardrobe year round, ditto linens and bedding. However, I do decorate for Christmas and love the idea of getting a holiday themed duvet cover. Thanks for another great idea!

I buy deep pocket fitted sheets which put my pop-off bottom sheet problem to an end.

I also have deep mattresses so all my fitted sheets are deep sheets also, so they have no problems staying tucked in... I might get those garters to keep the top flat sheet from coming undone during summer, when that's all I use...instead of a duvet..or comforter

Changed bedding, did the laundry and it all dried very quickly, out in the sun. Went for a walk, met up with a friend and then picked up some salad stuff on the way home. Sat outside in the evening sun and read a book. I like these laid back sunny days. :)

it was such a lovely looking thing..a big long polished counter and at the far end was the sloping desk, I stuck my hand through and lifted it up... there was nothing in the desk tho'... I would love to have those old bottles and jars..vi
Me too! The wooden shelves and drawers are lovely too but it's the old bottles which intrigue me. Were there any arsenic bottles? The Victorians loved arsenic, it was in everything including cosmetics - apparently often used as a skin whitener too.

oh yes and at the front was a little glass display cabinet which held creams and powders with arsenic in them..

I got a new Sky Q box ( satellite box) set it up a per instructions.. quite difficult for me because I had to thread leads and plugs through a hole in the back of the TV unit.. which is too heavy for me to move to get to... ( estranged O/h always did that).. anyway after a huge struggle I got it all set up correctly.. double checked everything, turned the TV n and the viewing card is not seeing he Broadband at my home.. regardless of what I do it's telling me I have no broadband.. which I clearly do have, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here.. I ran a check on the SKy website ( broadband and satellite company provider).. and it tells me that the broadband is working fine.. but on the TV in the settings it's telling me it's not.. so currently I can't get anything but terrestrial channels on my TV..this is very frustrating.. because I'm not a tech person at all..

I'm at a loss to know what to do now....

Further to that, it's hot again.. friend who is poorly text me to ask if I would go to town and fetch some shopping for them .. I had plans to go swimming again today.. but I'll have to go and get their shopping for them and prescriptions.. so the swimming will have to wait until next week

On my early walk around 6:30,went to buy NYT , was doing my version of' Singing In the Rain' temp was 57
Since its a rainy day, I plan to do shredding with my new shredder I bought on Amazon a month ago, much faster than the one I had for 10 yrs
If its not raining too hard mid morning, may go outside for a walk ,do loops around apt complex, just to get some exercise/ fresh air

Morning breakfast clubber's !!! Hope you are having a great
day....today will be a little bit of catch up day, I mistakenly gave
the nite off to the dish dwarves, so it is up to me to clean up....
Got some items to order from Amazon today, also still undecided about the mini-pc I got from them, may send it back, and need to check on progress of the weed spraying in
front garden bed...the spray I did about monday to kill all those
weeds....today is bad breathing day again here, so will not spend much time outside...welp, have a great day..will check
in later on.....;)

Ducked outside between rain showers and pulled a few more parts off the Camaro. What a chore it's been. Remove tires, pull shocks, unhook sway bar, drop rear end, remove exhaust system, pull down heat shields. All that just to get a look at the fuel tank.
Next will have to figure out how to drain the tank (full of course), then I can remove it and finally get to the fuel pump. Who ever thought putting a pump inside the tank was a good idea? (love to get my hands on them).
