I am here at 330am and that is waaaayyy too early for me to be up, will get in trouble somehow....77F outside to start the day and that is too hot...breathing index is outta sight, pain index is
the same and I'm feeling it.....ah well......take care all :cool::p

You see the style of his jacket, well today I am off to see my tailor for a fitting. My new blazer is all but done. Just needs a size fitting, then I shall choose the buttons and hopefully collect it on Friday.
 

Morning folks... it's 11.30sm...I'm leaving shortly to go to my friend Sharons' house , and we're going together to the Nail salon.. then I'll pick up some groceries from M&S on the way home..

It's a real grey day, and when I pulled the emptied wheelie bin in this morning it was raining.. much cooler than it has been which is a blessing 77 deg f.

I have every colour of Capri pants you can think of but when I went to get them this morning in the drawer.. there was only the dark colours.. I haven't a clue what I've done with the pastel colours.. very strange..:unsure:

Methocarbamol was the muscle relaxant I believe but as it was during the 80-90s, I'm darn if I can remember lol. Cheers!
 
On my early walk at 6:40 walked to the corner of my street& back, was cloudy temp was 63. I could smell a bit of the smoke from the Canadian fires
This morning I'm going with other members of Canopy of Neighbors{ I'm a volunteer/member} for our monthly luncheon this month at a restaurant which isn't far from my apt .I'm getting a ride from Liz{ also lives in my apt building} who is one of the co-founders of Canopy,I've known her for most of my adult life. We'll be picking up 2 other Canopy members. I've been to this restaurant a couple of times, food is good. It will be nice to see& meet some new members I don't know. The cost for lunch is $15
I hope to get an afternoon walk in when we come home, no other plans

I have a friend in St. Joseph, MO. She said it's supposed to be 99° today. Hot, hot, hot. Please take care, Hawk.
 
Have been up since 3:15 AM because of anxiety over a medical procedure later this morning. I'm not concerned about the procedure itself - it's my IBS that worries me. Stress often triggers the IBS and I won't be able to excuse myself during this test for a restroom visit. :eek:

Aaack!

IBS is a big reason I love having an RV. A clean, unoccupied, fully stocked restroom is available at all times when traveling.

I'm home. What a morning. At 9:45 we were informed that there was a mandatory one-hour training session at 10. Grrrr. Two people showed up out of 15. I was one, our Transferred Lady was the other. It was interesting but only reinforcement of stuff we already knew.

Had I known a day or two ago, I'd have rearranged my work so that it would all get done or maybe have gone in an hour early. Facilitator said that this training has been planned for several months, management had reminders for date and times via email and voice mail (because who ever heard of management picking up the phone??). Training only done one day in each store in the district. I guess mandatory has a different meaning if it's training that management is required to receive?

Anyway, my work wasn't finished so Sir gets to do it because I'm off tomorrow. Oh, well.
It was only 82 when I got home so I rushed right out and watered the flowers. It was my plan to also deadhead everything that needs it, but it got too darned hot.

Since I'm off tomorrow, I'll get up early and get the watering and deadheading done and get the lawn mowed, too. Disclaimer: ...the best laid plans of mice and men... :ROFLMAO:

Temp is pushing 90 now.

I'm back.....

I'm pretty worn out. I enjoy the school parties, but I'm glad that they are over for now. Our July schedule only has one Sunday party booked and nothing else. So it looks like I'll only be going to the rink once a week (Sat afternoon, public session), for the next few weeks, plus the one Sun.

So today I start catching up with my life, if that's even possible. We had a light drizzle this morning, just enough to raise the humidity. It was already 80°F at 10:00, and it's expected to get to about 100°. I've already checked fences and washed dishes. Maybe I'll end up just laying around inside today....TV, book, game, etc. 😉

My enthusiasm is hiding.

Eventually I hope to get back to chatting with everyone.

Lee, what's the curtain thingies..?.. is it for inside your hom..or what ?.. have you looked to see if there's a Youtube video showing how to do it ?... I completely understand your frustration... 🤗
 
We're desperate for rain here..it's very warm and overcast. The lawns are now straw coloured. DD rang a few minutes ago, she's got rain there..( 2 hours north)... but aside from a tiny drizzle this morning, we've had none here at all.

I got my nails done today..I decided to have a much more neutral colour on my nails.. but because it's so dimly lit in the salon..the nails I thought were a light beige ended up actually being the palest pink.. matt..... My hand are tanned and the pink is standing out as much as if I'd got Dayglo orange..:D ....

My friend and I had a drink at the pub . after we left the Salon.. and then drove into North London to get M&S ( nearest one for us).. and Tesco... I was tempted to buy a Peach blouse in M&S but I didn't because hopefully I'm losing weight albeit slowly, and I have enough clothes now without buying something new which might not fit next month

It's 6.30pm now.. so I'm going to go and see what I can have for dinner.. I got some nice things from M&S food hall today...so I'll see what deliciousness I can have tonight


Just about to order a new Wireless keyboard from Amazon... this one which keeps missing letters is driving me NUTS :eek:

Managed to finish digging over the leek bed before the rain started. Moved inside and helped Mrs.L to make mango chutney and a pie for dinner. The rain stopped at about 17:30 and it's looking nice now.
