Had a FaceTime chat with several family members. Hate to tell them, someone has to learn to hold the camera steady. The young ones are growing like weeds.

Cleaning my closet. If I don’t wear them, it‘s time to go. Decreased, but not enough yet.

I became a technical genius! :ROFLMAO: In all seriousness, we spent last weekend with some friends in San Francisco. One retired from the tech industry and demonstrated their Apple TV 4K. I already use my Apple Airpods to listen to music at the gym or when walking around the lake. He showed me that with Apple TV you can listen to TV shows with your Airpods in and get a clear, surround sound.

I ordered it and installed it today and downloaded the apps for our various channels like Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc. My partner came home and I think he was amazed I had set it all up. The plug-and-play was easy. The on-screen setup took 1 1/2 hours. I hate reading directions so I just followed Youtube tutorial videos. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!

We watched one of our shows on Netflix tonight with the Airpods in and not only was the picture much better due to streaming, the sound was clear and crisp. We did yell at each other occasionally to make comments but it was worth it! Just because I'm a Senior doesn't mean I can't enjoy the latest technology.

The most significant thing today was listening....lots of listening. My son and I hadn't worked on music in a few weeks so it was nice to get back into the studio today. Studio time can be fun and is productive but also tedious. We are in the process of mixing parts of one of the first songs I composed (on my first Clavinova) so that it sounds just like the original mix, which my son did. He helped me because back then I had no idea what digital pianos were capable of. Also, I think we're closing in on the final mix for what I call my "sweet Rock" tune. I thought we were finished but it needs a few more touches. The rest of the day was "SOS": nap, T.V., games and phone conversation with my BFF.

These days, every thing seems to be a 'crisis' or an 'Emergency'. I've just been into my wine cellar (AKA Glory hole or cupboard under the stairs) only to find that I've almost run out of my favourite reds. This is a disaster, so today I'm declaring a 'Wine crisis'. Wine is the only 'foodstuff' that I buy on line, so I'll have to wait a few days for the crisis to be resolved. Until then, I might have to break into the emergency rations.

Walked the dog,, load of clothes in the washer.

Son, his wife & daughter spend most of Saturday with us.
Had a nice visit.

They have some sort of home improvement going on,, wanted some barn boards?!
Hubby, son & DIL ended up removing some boards.

When they went to load them in the van,,needed to cut some off the boards.

This morning hubby is out cutting up trees.
Can't make him take a day off!

Hot again with a promise of rain of biblical proportions tonight. Mmhmm. Don't know whether to go out there and water the newest plants or not.

Took winter jacket to work with me because I thought I'd have to go into the big store freezer (where the temp is a constant -20F🥶) to retrieve orders shipped Thursday night and last night. Turned out that Sir must have figured I'd be armed for bear this morning, and he was already there and digging through the pallets looking for the products on my list. Products that I couldn't continue to work without. Products that I'd been warning him I was running out of or had already run out of.

He ordered some of it, and it was on the pallet that came Thursday night. He ordered some more of it that was on last night's pallet.

I baked it all up and packaged it, put it on the shelves. Finished up early enough that the oven had time to cool enough to be cleaned. Cleaned oven.

Figured that I did my part and told him that and left at 10.

Tomorrow is inventory so the normal Monday off isn't going to happen.

I'm wondering if his strange behavior in recent weeks is because of all that's happened...his grandmother's death last summer, an uncle's death a few months later, his mother's death in June, the new diagnoses of yet more health issues for him. A combo of grief and PTSD?

36 years ago today, I was getting ready to marry the most perfect Lady (because she wanted to put up with me).

Today we woke, I made waffles and we decided to go to our favorite chain
restaurant 'Chuy's' tonight for dinner and Margaritas to Celebrate.
Tomorrow, if I'd stayed married to my first husband it would be our 47th wedding anniversary....

Daughter and I had a wee adventure today. Took a bus to train station. Enjoy the peace and lovely scenery. Then asking a mother and son for directions, they offered to take us to our destination.

How nice, I teared up... The destination wasn't too bad, fun enough but going back to home turf. Being my natural self is looked at strangely, but a person on the return train trip spoke Russian for 3 stops and no one said anything. I didn't mind about it as I love lots of cultures.

Just couldn't understand the remarks that came out way when we did our Indian happy cry when we both it the best centre target twice...

We just wanted to express ourselves quietly in our own way. Honestly, at the end of the day, we're confused dot com 🙃

I've done very little today... I raked over all the borders where the Tree had been removed.. shovelled up all the leaves, and sawdust.. OMG it filled a whole wheelie bin... . and that's after they took 99 % of it away ..

Scrubbed down the bathrooms.. washed up.. cooked lasagne for Dinner (Chicago Town)..first time I've had that brand, I usually see it sold as Pizza....not keen.. very weak flavour..

Threw out a big box of smaller items belonging to the estranged O/H... from his office desk.. figured he's had enough time to take them away..

Took delivery of an Amazon order...

Watched a show on Discovery plus..

it's 7.30pm now... gonna go see what else I can throw out or donate before I settle down for the evning

Yes I've worn bifocals for years....something is just off about these tho, and I'm not sure what...will call monday about them...thanks...
Definitely do that. They can be fixed, and should be.
I had to have them do that, some time ago, and was very glad I did, after they got them right.
It's not something to keep going with, when they aren't correct for the ways you use them.

And by the way, Happy Birthday!!!

:D
He's mostly interested in people walking past and (of course) the little snacks DH slowly doles out. Oyster crackers are a current fave. He also likes to hold something while in the cart. This time it was a large container of Italian spices.
Thanks for that cute description!:)
