Had to think about this one for a while. I do admit to enjoying seeing a woman's body. However I would never attempt to see a woman in a less dressed condition than she wanted to be seen in, no fun in that. The few times it has happened, accidently, I have always averted my eyes or something of the like. Even if she did not know I was seeing her. Nothing erotic in peeping. Any woman who goes topless in public is obviously comfortable with being watched.

When I said the government should not dictate dress or lack of it I meant in most public settings.

Judges have long set dress standards in their courtrooms, I'd have no objection to that (see https://www.txcourts.gov/media/1445696/courtroom-dress-code.pdf for example). Schools are another example, I would not object to schools setting reasonable dress standards. No problem with requiring prisoners to be required to dress. And I guess any private business could as well, I believe they can now. Same goes for guests in your home, you should be able to set the standards. I am sure there are other examples of places where there is a compelling need for some dress standardization, I would not object to that. But what one someone wears on the street, in their yards, in the park, or at the beach should be of their own choosing.

I would not choose to wear anything differently from what I wear now, probably most people would not. I just want to minimize telling others what to do...
 
I suppose that's why nudist colonies or camps etc were developed - for free expression but in a safe non-public environment - after all you do have to pay to get in ? and didn't all humanity start with total nudity and then progressed to a leaf covering?

I never did quite understood the human ecological progression from " starting naked - then realizing that you are naked and then being commanded to covering up " seems rather illogical ? or is that just a fairy story ? after all our closest mates in the animal kingdom like apes and chimpanzees etc seem to get along well - until they are found in a circus!! Perhaps they are essentially more intelligent than we??

- there is another forum I visit occasionally that does have a total nudity section - mostly surrounding the beach or on the beach - not sure where the shots come from but they vary from partially clothed to fully unclothed and usually young to sometimes older individuals. As this is free viewing for accredited members it becomes a section initially for regular viewing - however the end result for me anyhow was to stop viewing because it was becoming boring and more boring and now I hardly visit the entire forum at all - hmm perhaps another visit is overdue??

Sorry, but it's not about that at all, and not about men granting them permission.
Again (Hopefully for the last time), it is whether people feel that it is unfair or discriminatory to grant that right to men, but not to women, even if a woman never chooses to exercise that right. It is about the fairness or equality of the law, not about anything else.
For example, if the law said it is perfectly fine for women to wear lipstick, but a man could get arrested for it, you may not care because you don't intend to wear it anyway, but some men might. Is it a fair law.
Somewhere along the line, we have accepted that men's exposed boobs are legal and women's are not. The reason seems to be that it's indecent, which appears to revert back to notions impressed on us by religious thought, but I wouldn't swear to that conclusion. Many courts are having to revisit that statute because there isn't really a good or adequate defense, so some states are overturning it.

sounds a tad unreasonable ; and rather selfish? if we are going to share pics of boobs all around then I see no reason why you shouldn't flash yours too sassycakes - we need to get over this thing of only seeing young nubile females and their boobs ; boobs are boobs are boobs I happen to think that a well moderated thread or forum of retired boobs would be rather interesting and "three piece cods" also!! I was once on a forum of the elderly elsewhere who some members here can attest; where the near nude forms of the feminine kind were posted much to the harange of many of the female elderly members only ; I must confess I still to this day cannot explain this phenomena apart from either jealousy or morbid disgust which if so I find totally unreasonable and malignant? as akin to belonging to the Victorian era. Shouldn't the human body ; a creation after all from God be glorified? - Do we fear old age and all its sagging parts?

believe me I have nearly gone blind !! - but once you have stared at them for numerous times - the time comes when ya just ditch em - now actually touching them may be another cessation altogether - even the technology we are using atm hasn't achieved that and I wouldn't like to get crushed in the rush. Yes I do know it has become sorta technically possible in the correct space outfit and goggles but that's a rather expensive past time atm and still not the real thing - there is really only one pathway to the real thing .............................................and I didn't say other forms of expensive phoneyism and that is "true love and commitment at any age" yes ??? got it yet??
 
to NUDE is not RUDE or CRUDE or PRUDE - the disgust you may feel with nudity is not mine or his or hers or theirs it's yours alone and if you are expriencing any I would prefer you find yourself a brick wall somewhere standing next to the narcissistic fella we have been introduced to and talk among yourselves for a very long time!
 
Right this minute I am thinking that this whole discussion is a storm in a tea cup, or should that be a hurricane in a C cup?

On Sunday last I hosted an afternoon tea for a few family members at our home to celebrate Hubby's 81st birthday. As we all sat around the big table outside, enjoying scones with jam and cream, plates of fresh sandwiches, macarons and birthday cake our middle granddaughter breast fed her little baby - quietly and very discretely. The babe was happy and no-one batted an eye or paid any attention at all.

This is what female breasts are for and I will go to bat for any mother's right to feed her baby whenever and wherever the need arises. In all other circumstances I prefer them to be clothed, but that is just me. Women should have the right to decide for themselves how much, or how little skin, they are comfortable exposing to the male gaze.

Alas, Davey, they could not tell the difference between posting Porno and a fishing video. And what have they got left, half a dozen regular posters, like so many other forums? Adding I do so envy the lifestyle of guys in the USA, be it Marlin or fly-fishing for Bonefish in crystal clear warm waters or casting a fly to huge wild trout in the wilderness, those guys know how to live the life, and the women topless or not.

We should all be able to admire a good body. Or anybody for that matter. Both genders admiring both genders. And the 39 genders in between. Or was it 39 and a half? I do get confused sometimes. Society seems to move on so quickly these days. I don't seem to be able to keep up.
