You need to let the guy who programmed the algorithm for this. Maybe this needs to go in the support forum.I was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste. I chopped it up in small paragraphs but that didn't work.

That might be interesting in that it contradicts The Birthrate Thread. Is it this one? Empty Half The Earth of it's Humans. It is a story by a Canadian scientist explaining the earth won't sustain human life as we know it.
I found I pretty much had to split paragraphs into sentences...for it to work well..I just think people reading my posts might not realise I really do know how to make a paragraph...I was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste. That is what I did. I had the article copied to a notepad broke it down into sentences where it made sense. Pasted that to the body where dialog goes & the 120 block thingy still wouldn't accept that.I found I pretty much had to split paragraphs into sentences...for it to work well..I just think people reading my posts might not realise I really do know how to make a paragraph...![]()
No it isn't that But thanks for showing interest. That might be interesting in that it contradicts The Birthrate Thread. Is it this one? Empty Half The Earth of it's Humans.
Give @Matrix a call.. see if he can solve the problem for you. That is what I did. I had the article copied to a notepad broke it down into sentences where it made sense. Pasted that to the body where dialog goes & the 120 block thingy still wouldn't accept that.
Do you know the name of the scientist Knight? Is it possible to post a link?I was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste. I chopped it up in small paragraphs but that didn't work.

THAT'S what they're called, Matrix. I couldn't remember that when I posted #2.Give @Matrix a call.. see if he can solve the problem for you.![]()
His name is Matrix.. he is Admin and owner of the Forum all in one ... great guy... he'll visit this thread once he sees this...THAT'S what they're called, Matrix. I couldn't remember that when I posted #2.
Yeah, there's a guy there who was cutting his teeth on this "make sure they don't type too many words in a paragraph" code.
He needs to know it still doesn't work.
Knight, the problem might be the site you copied from. I sometimes have problems just pasting an article to a Word doc. I assume it's ads, charts/photos, or maybe encoding...not sure.I was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste. I chopped it up in small paragraphs but that didn't work.

I was thinking the same thing.Knight, the problem might be the site you copied from. I sometimes have problems just pasting an article to a Word doc. I assume it's ads, charts/photos, or maybe encoding...not sure.
This should have been posted in the Forum Support Forum. It's not like it's Worldly NewsI was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste. I chopped it up in small paragraphs but that didn't work.

Strike while the iron is hot. The proverb refers to how the blacksmith heats the iron in order to make it malleable. When it cools, the blacksmith loses the ability to shape it into the desired shape. Our lives are like iron; when an opportunity arises, we must be prepared to seize it in order to change our lives. There is no point in moping about missed opportunities after time has passed. Wise men remain alert and recognise opportunities as they arise. The foolish, on the other hand, sit back and watch as opportunities pass them by. Our unwillingness to take risks can frequently leave us empty-handed. It is certainly possible to make sense in one paragraph, no problem.
It seems that sometimes I have to do that and sometimes I don't. I felt the same, like...are members going to realize that making one sentence "paragraphs" is not my doing?I found I pretty much had to split paragraphs into sentences...for it to work well..I just think people reading my posts might not realise I really do know how to make a paragraph...![]()
Thank you so much, I was literally typing Cont... in the Today in History thread.@Knight, sorry for the inconvenience, it's my fault. It's more complicated than I thought when using pasted text. It should be working now. Now I'm a little inclined to remove the paragraph length check as unexpected keeps popping up.
They would adapt in order to stay in business.120 word limit for a paragraph? Tell that to writers like James Michener. You would put them right out of business.
Seemed to me more like a hot topic since it's been mentioned in other threads. Note that Matrix is looking at this and didn't move it to Forum Support. This should have been posted in the Forum Support Forum. It's not like it's Worldly News![]()
Not James. I think he's dead. He would have never survived here. At 120 words, he was just getting a sentence started. They would adapt in order to stay in business.![]()
Can you post the link? i know i've had trouble because some links are too long. But if it's a fairly short link---those interested can click on it to read the article.I was going to put a news story here but the 120 word limit blocked the cut & paste.
