"Death Rode A White Horse" was it so realistic it was banned after the sneak preview, only 1 viewing.
Yeah, that was a tough oneInto the Wild
It was the first movie I rented on DVD back in the late 70's early 80's.Deerhunter. Yikes.
This movie was filmed about 8 miles downstream from my house on the Kootenai River in Montana. Very small town so Hollywood showing up for a months long filming was probably the biggest thing that ever happened there. I personally didn't find the film disturbing. I was more focused on recognizing familiar parts of the river. Incidentally, for such a supposedly long river trip, most of the scenes were filmed on about a two mile stretch of the actual river, probably less than that.1) A River Wild (1996) Meryl Streep, Kevin Bacon! My wife and I had to take off half way through, accompanied by the scornful sneers of her 90 year old aunt who lived with us.
He was a misguided soul. Habituating bears to humans is a dangerous business, and he spent years doing exactly that thinking that the bears had come to love him. What really saddened me was that he dragged is reluctant girlfriend along on his last trip, and the both of them died what must have been terrifying deaths.Tim Treadwell was an idiot
I get all the old movies on TCM (Basic Cable)! Only problem, I need CC to watch anything and on my cable box close captioning is too big and intrusive even at its smallest!I love Hollywood movies. I love Bette Davis, my favourite and other stars of that golden era.
There are many, many movies I can't watch. "The Passion Of The Christ" is one of them. The "Killing Fields" mentioned below is another. So is any movie associated with Nazi era Concentration Camps! I cannot cope emotionally with seeing others suffer because of the cruelty and sadism of others.I'm surprised no one mentioned "The Passion of the Christ".
Definitely The Exorcist for me.A couple. The Exorcist. Also, Stir of Echoes (1999)6.9 | Horror, Mystery, Thriller Starring Kevin Bacon. Just messed with me
Couldn't watch it. Same with "The Theory Of Everything" about Stephen Hawking! I co-suffer too much, even though both men learned to overcome in a most admirable way!"My Left Foot."
Christy Brown, born with cerebral palsy, learns to paint and write with his only controllable limb - his left foot. The true-life story of Christy Brown who was born paralysed with a severe form of cerebral palsy; his left foot the only appendage over which he had complete control.
Oh I couldn't watch those either. Far too upsetting. There are many, many movies I can't watch. "The Passion Of The Christ" is one of them. The "Killing Fields" mentioned below is another. So is any movie associated with Nazi era Concentration Camps! I cannot cope emotionally with seeing others suffer because of the cruelty and sadism of others.
I wish I had never seen that.Definitely The Exorcist for me.
