Why do some women show cleavage

Well, not everything is about and for men, so it isn't all that plain and simple. I didn't see the particular top, so it could just be current fashion. I have to make an effort to find tops that are not low cut, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of nice fashion these days is very low cut.

If a man dresses up neat and spiffy it doesn't mean he's all about getting women's attention, does it? It could be just trying to look good in general.

<sigh> Again I've been quoted and misunderstood, I'm just going to delete my post, evidently I get a "fail" for the day in my efforts to communicate.shrug.gif

I asked Bing AI the option question...
That’s an interesting question. There are many possible reasons why some women show cleavage, and they may vary depending on the context, the culture, and the individual preferences of the women themselves. Here are some of the common explanations that I found from various sources:

As you can see, there is no simple answer to why some women show cleavage. It is a complex and personal decision that may depend on many factors. Ultimately, it is up to each woman to decide what she wants to wear and how she wants to present herself. :)

Women show cleavage because it is a natural part of our bodies. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. We can't help it if men start getting erections over it. That's the way it's meant to be to protect our species. Are women supposed to bind their breasts? Grow up fgs.

You make a good point and I for one am willing to endure the call to erectile attention as a sign of appreciation for just how your lot is different from my own. Of course it is just how you are and nothing wrong with that. The question I've been wanting to ask is why don't more women show more cleavage? It is your birthright fgs!

Lately I noticed I am showing more and it's only because of weight gain and everything shifting around these days. I don't know if anyone would want to see an old gal like me's cleavage!

Speaking for myself, it probably goes back to my teen years when boys would try to perve down the neck of girls' dresses whenever we bent forwards. It was embarrassing in the extreme. Not all of them grew out of the habit when they reached maturity.

Yeah I can see how that might become uncomfortable. There is no reason to assume you make your fashion choices to please the male gaze and it is a shame if you end up feeling a bee suit is the only thing to protect you from those leering eyes.

I really don't know why other women show cleavage. I have shown a little in my days but only a couple times.
Throughout the civilized ages, woman have, from to time shown cleavage. Look at paintings of the last few centuries, and you'll find a goodly amount of cleavage. We all tend to think in terms of only today, but if we expand the time frame we seek to understand, we learn that what we think happens only today is but a moment in a time spectrum. I try, but don't always succeed, in getting the big picture. The ladies have always shown cleavage; perhaps to look more attractive to men. It could also be ego fulfillment. There could be other reasons, too.

Just watching the news, Prince Charles is due to speak. Before him a glamorous French woman is doing a long rambling speech.

It's just her cleavage! Surely all anyone can do is stare? You can't kind of get past it.

There must be reason to how to dress on certain occasions. I just am fascinated at why some women feel legs, breasts and other parts must be on show on TV and other public places. It is a woman's right of course, dress how you please, but that doesn't mean it is always appropriate.

I remember one middle aged, not particularly attractive woman, used to attend church with masses of cleavage on show. I wondered why.
They boobs get hot so let the air on them
