What is something that you could never learn to do?

No not really I am now too old, if I got down on the ground to plant something I could not get up without help.I do love to see pretty yards though. I bet you can grow anything????
I understand .... but no..I've always been a bit ham fisted when it comes to my garden which is why 3/4 of it is Shrubs and trees... in the past few years I've managed to grow flowers well, but I get very bored having to weed and replant... :D

Rose Holly dolly is right, crocheting is easy, once you learn to make a chain and single and double crochet you have it, there are some really good beginners videos on you tube.
I taught myself.. with no instruction, aside how to cast on..... that's how easy it is.. Granted I could already knit.. but when my DD was a toddler I wanted to make crochet blankets, so I taught myself..

TBH...altho' I found it boring.. I did want to learn.. and I wish I;d been able to.. I'm not a ''craft'' persn, but being able to sew with a machine would have saved so much money over the years...

The other thing I could never do... much to my regret is be a hairdresser ( more to the point a Hair Stylists.. again I wish I could have learned.. but the horror of cutting someone's hair differently to how they'd want it, gives me nightmares, and I've never even done it ( aside from trimming my daughters' when she was small)

100% Being a hairdresser would be horrendous. I'd never get it right, and the only do-over is selling them a wig. NO!

Sew.
My mother used to sew some of our clothes, but I never had the desire to learn.
I don't know why. I can remember laying out the fabric and then laying the pattern on top of it, but that's as far as I cared to go.
The last thing I wanted to be doing was sitting behind a sewing machine. 😒
I stink at sewing. In eighth grade Home Ec class, we had to make an outfit. I decided to make an outfit for Christmas: a long red skirt and a red and green paisley print sleeveless mock turtleneck top. There was a bit of trouble with the waistband on the skirt, but it only had a 6" zipper, so somehow I managed to get it together.

Whatever possessed me to choose a top pattern with an 18" zipper, I don't know. It was a moment of temporary insanity. I was trying to put the zipper in the night before the outfit was due. I put it in and tore it out three times before I literally threw it in the trash. Oh, God, just kill me now. This is where sewing and I permanently parted ways.

My mom came home from work, saw it in the trash, and pulled it out. I told her she might as well leave it there because I'd had it; I was done. I told her, "Mrs. Stitchwright can fail me; I don't care!"

My mother, being a kindhearted and practical woman, without any fanfare or fuss, then proceeded to install the pesky zipper for me. I got an A, or, I should say, my mother got an A. She deserved it! 😘

If I were on a deserted island and told the only way I could get off was to sew, I'd die there.

have you tried ? :)
Like @chic I would probably be able to if I tried, but I get nervous around electricity and plumbing which are integral parts of building a house. I also would not be able to install a roof (no way will I go up there and put shingles on!). So, I haven't "tried" but in my mind, I know it would be impossible. Now a mud hut or a snow castle might be possibilities, lol!

The funny thing is that I also took Home Ec class but don't remember what we sewed! Somehow, I picked it up over the years, and just recently bought a new Singer because I wanted to work on some clothes that were too big for me. That's the easy part. Sewing a new dress, now that's something else!

With me it was playing a piano. I can play wind instruments, but there you only have to concentrate on playing one note at a time. On a piano, there's 10 fingers each doing something different at once and all those notes on the sheet music!
I've never really understood people. I just can't understand their perspectives (or lack thereof), motivations (or lack thereof), interests (or lack thereof), beliefs (or lack thereof), etc. ad infinitum.............. Definitely don't know why the wife has stayed with me almost 50 years......

God bless you, girl! 😊 Ironically, I have two vintage sewing machines; one belonged to my grandma, and the other was my husband's grandma's. They work! I'm not sure if I'll be able to sell them, but I'm going to try.
