Of course not. Why too big? I'm maybe 5'4" on a good day and probably weigh at least 110-120 lbs. Or thereabouts. And I like my sweaters big...hides a multitude of figure sins like the roll around my middle, for instance.
OK.... if you wish I'll give it to you... just send someone to collect it ..🙃

Send someone? Heck no! I'll show up in person✈️

BTW, yesterday's roast beast was delicious. There's none left. Every scrap was gone, gone, gone. I thought there'd be leftover mashed potatoes that could be heated up and served with the meatloaf I made the other day. Nope. Guess it'll be mac & cheese with the meatloaf.

Well you would be welcome any time, but as you didn't keep me any roast beef... then no jumper for you, young lady...🥴

We went shopping to pickup a fortnight supply of food. Sunday is Guy Fawkes Day (which not surprising, the fireworks has begun just now and it's only 5pm).

Got a gorgeous wee pork loin roast, with Apple, Garlic and Onions stuffing, sliced buttered carrots. Meatballs for an Italian Spag Bowl Tuesdays. Wednesday special, ox meaty bones for a barley vegetables soup.

Ox diced heart in a cottage pie with mash and gravy. Beef strips, ox diced kidneys and fresh mushrooms for Steak and Kidney pies covered with puff pastry. Seafood medley for a pasta bake. Got dry cat food for CoffeeBean too.

Who's hungry? 😂😂😂

Caught a nap. Now enjoying coffee potter while watching Three Men and a Little Baby plus Three Men and a Little Lady. The weather was sunny/partly cloudy with a refreshing breeze.

Of course, in typical fashion, you can't have a shopping trip without coming back home, putting them away AND REALISING Haha! We forgot the head of lettuce... Plans for Monday now 😁😁😁

Received a letter from the village asking me to complete a form about the water intake in my house and to also submit a photo of the water meter showing the piping on each side. I think I heard some buzz about their being concerned with the lead content in the public water supply and they are trying to trace the origin. It looks like I have copper pipes on mine.

I also made a batch if Bisquick cheese bread.

I took the little'uns to a fall festival this morning that also included a romp in a large playground.

"Can I take my shoes off?"

" No, I want you to leave them on"

15 minutes later, the 7-year-old runs past, sans shoes.

"WHERE.ARE.YOUR.SHOES?"

"I dunno."

"FIND THEM!"

After a search, one is found inside the big tube slide. The other one had been tossed over the fence and had to be retrieved.

4-year-old decides if Big Sis takes her shoes off, she gets to, too. Another search ensues.

At the festival, the 7 year old rode the mechanical bull 3 times, which surprised the heck out of me, because she tends to be a scaredy-cat. The 4 year old was HIGHLY incensed that she was too little to ride it, because she is the polar opposite of scared of anything.

Me? I'm really, really tired.

As my rugby team played on Wednesday I’m staying in and gluing myself to tv sport…..rugby,cricket and cycling.
@Furryanimal , you said you're feeling a little trapped at home for awhile. That's too bad. I love being at home, even while I enjoy going out, too.

Can you find an at-home hobby? Try cooking for a few friends, I think you'd like that. I think Mr. ViVo would like to be your guest!

Meatloaf, fresh green beans, roasted potatoes for supper. And a cookie for dessert. Ice cream? Should I have some ice cream?

I've turned back the clocks already.

Sir is supposed to be at work tomorrow at 4am. Pffft. As if! Wait. Maybe. It should be an interesting day, to say the least. I will bite my tongue 😜 and only speak if asked questions (promise!). I took many pictures and texted them to Sir, who will text them to the store manager if he hasn't already. Probably won't be asked questions because as we know, a picture is worth a thousand words. Eight or 10 pix constitute a speech.

Also as we know, for TL there are not likely to be consequences:mad:.

what a good idea to send the pictures... do you think something will be said or done to TL?...what if you told 'sir' that you're thinking of leaving because you can't do the job of 2 people ?

Sir knows that I won't quit (1) because I want to be "up and doing with a heart for any fate"* and (2) because now that I don't need the money, I purely love payday, and (3) I wouldn't leave him there alone with no help whatsoever. Whenever he and I are both there at the same time, we get it all done in 4-5 hours so he knows how much there is to be done every day just on my end.

TL has had no consequences so far. I think that they're just gathering documentation so they can unload her without opposition from the union if no transfer to another store comes through. Transfer isn't looking good because nobody will have her. Her reputation has preceded her.

Today's pix taken when I got there just b4 6am are eye-popping and definitely "documentation." Filthy floor, five full racks of breads, rolls, pastries, cookies that I couldn't get to yesterday because I had to bake up all the stuff she left overnight in the cooler that had thawed. She couldn't be bothered to package and label any of it and put it on the shelves/tables even though they were all bare. Bare as in it looked as though we were selling from any empty wagon.

Store rule in every department is that the person(s) who close, clean, empty trash. take broken down cardboard boxes to recycling and wash the floors.

Sir's response when he got the pix was simple: "OMG!"

*Longfellow - A Psalm of Life

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world’s broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,— act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

So I labor and wait. The waiting part is much more difficult than the laboring part!:ROFLMAO:

@Georgiagranny If any customer became ill because TL woman left food sitting out, the stuff would hit the fan. Or even if the health authority (whatever you call it there) did a surprise inspection. Management should be on her with all the complaints now; it can’t be left until the end. She’ll just say she didn’t know.

Sunday, so it's time to wind the clock and have a chat with younger daughter before she heads off to the gym. Other than that, it's just another day here. The stores will be open just as usual (no Sunday hours here) and crowded, while the churches (those that remain) will be virtually empty. The main industries here, farming and fishing, are all year round occupations, so it's business as usual for them.

I want to spend some time tidying up the garden which is still covered with soggy leaves, and wash the campervan which is due its MoT (annual inspection) in a couple of weeks. Later, I'll cook roast pork and apple sauce for dinner.

Packleader, love the look of those prawns. We get great seafood here, but most of it goes to top restaurants all over the UK and Europe and us locals get the leftovers :(

On my early walk at 6:30 strolled halfway down my street, temp was 46
As I'm walking to my church service at 10:30, I'll be thinking of my niece,Liz,she is running today in her 1st NYC marathon When I talked to her on Thurs, I asked where it starts-Staten Island, ends- Central Park. She mentioned 50,000 people were expected, her goal is to finish the race in 4 hrs Her mom/my sister-in -law, Suzanne ran the race in '94. I'll be interested to see how she does

But you didn't answer the question that's on all our minds! Did YOU ride the mechanical bull??? Is that why you were tired? 'Fess up, @jujube ! :giggle:

I can assure you, had *I* ridden the mechanical bull, #1, they would have had to bring out a hydraulic lift to get me up on it, #2, the poor thing would have had a broken back and #3, the evening news would have featured "Crazy Elderly Fat Lady Tries to Ride Mechanical Bull and Has to Be Taken to Hospital on Back of Flat-Bed Semi. Bull Has to be Shot".

Did you see that on the 6:00 News? No? There's your answer.
