1/2 hour yoga 🧘‍♀️ - sun - moon sequence
Yesterday was exalted warrior not just warrior.
I AM loving my yoga and will soon shift into doing it daily.

I’ve started weight lifting 🏋️ with light weight and more reps . I need to purchase a weight rack/ stand. Weight lifting can be a spiritual experience. I listen to spiritual pod casts while doing it. Pure joy. 🤩

nothing since Tuesday.......

I started traveling to the SC coast Tuesday afternoon, it was a grueling trip w a huge sleep deficit, and very little exercise. Got back yesterday, Saturday, after 14 hours of travel, so I'm still shot. A rest day today and back at it tomorrow.

Somebody must have done something since Tuesday???

It IS weird 🤷‍♀️

Got plenty of exercise vacuuming, washing floors, doing dishes and painting but I also did a form of exercise today called yoga. Today I did 1/2 an hour of dancing sun sequence. This entire DVD has got up be one of my favourites

I keep forgetting to walk backwards. What little back walking I've done has helped my knees & calves tremendously!

Knee Doctor told me I have a torn meniscus, but because I have a very small space reduction he won't do surgery because he can't guarantee it will work 100%. So he told me to do exercises but not weight bearing, so either biking or swimming to keep my leg straight and the spacing. Well I decided to buy an exercise bike and do 30 minutes of biking every weekday.
About 2 years ago I fell in my garage, hit my head against the house wall and all my right side hit the concrete floor. Went to the hospital, they took x-rays and blood work, heart trace, thankfully no broken bones! But sugar level in urine was quite high and also in blood. Later contacted my Dr and he didn't mind much about that because he said it was the reaction of my body to protect my organs and that caused the sugar to go high and it had to come out somewhere. Anyways he asked for a blood sugar curve and it was ok, although my sugar level was close to the max. Dr. said it was OK, some people remain for 10 years like that and don't get diabetes.
Well I didn't want to wait until I eventually may get over the limit, so did my research about diets for diabetes. And did some light changes to my diet.
Anyways since I had started biking I started loosing weight, which I was happy with, then with the added diet changes I kept loosing more and more wait to the point where I was wondering what is going on. Saw my Dr and he said I'm already "underweight"!!!. He did a lot of blood tests and MRI and everything seemed fine, so recommended to see a dietician to try to gain some weight. Dietician also recommended to see exercise therapist to try to gain muscle.
Point in case he gave me some exercises for legs and arm muscles. So I added those to my biking but suddenly some of the arm exercises caused me strong pain in my upper right arm. Well my Dr and the therapist suspected a rotor cuff problem and sure enough an ultrasound revealed that I had a complete torn (reaped through) tendon and another tendon partial torn. So therapist changed some and added more exercises. I was wondering how I got that torn tendon, it was that bad fall 2 years earlier!!! So here I am every week day 30 minutes biking and then another half hour with all the other exercises. Thankfully it seems to be working.
And besides all those exercises I also do quite exercise while growing a garden, flowers, mowing lawn with push mower and running up and own stairs to basement a couple of times a day (and its a deep one).

Pretty cold today. Didn't do more than go out and scrape off the car windows. A few trips up and down the stairs to the basement. Colder tomorrow (today already!), but I must do better.

Using a treadmill - at 22 min - working my way up to 30 minutes - also a reclining bike. So far only 10 minutes on that (have moderate COPD, so when O2 level gets too low - need to stop until it rises. (The one I used at Pulmonary Rehab was much easier to use and I was up to 1/2 hour on that)
I also take my little Yorkie for a walk every day it's not raining. That lasts about 20 minuted - longer distance/time in warmer months - it's down in the 30's and 40's here. Also I frequently jog from the living room down the hallway to my bedroom when I need to go back there. I sit a lot, but am up and down and walking all over the house frequently. I usually get in 3000 to 4500 steps a day.
I plan to start TaiChi here in the next few weeks. Have been meaning to start, but needed to get endurance up a bit more.

And so it begins alpine ski season 23/24, a week late, but whatev!

4 laps of the lowly beginner run.......(only run open)

Made sure I got on and off the chair w/out incident and made the 4 laps w/out hurting myself on Day 1.

As far as the exercise it was a pretty mediocre Zone 2 training w a few mins in Zone 3.

I haven't started all my planned exercises yet, life is just too busy. I have done yoga and russian twists every other day and have added "polishing the mirror" temple exercise, because my knees are starting to bite.

@PeppermintPatty , I'm glad to see you're loving your fitness journey! I gotta look up sun-moon sequence, sounds like fun.
I usually have Vinyasa Yoga T,Th but my teacher is traveling back East to see his family in NY. So I 'm going to go to a Yoga shala today and take a gentle Yoga class I've been eyeballin'.

90 min functional strength training workout......

Most fun was hearing my famous (79 yo reading educator) training partner talking about a podcast she did on Wednesday w Rude Jude. Plenty of f bombs thrown including one be her which had everyone rolling w laughter!!!
