Henry Kissinger dead at 100

Sadly (embarrassingly?) I'm with @Ruthanne in not realizing that he'd still been living. In fact, I would have sworn he passed around 20 years ago. Maybe I'm remembering an illness or accident from then. In any case, RIP, Mr. Secretary.

EDIT: February 1982... coronary bypass surgery, so yay for my memory this morning! Okay, so that's a lot more than 20 years, but I still remembered!

I always liked and respected Dr. Kissinger as kind of the foreign policy genius of the Nixon administration...and with the accent, he gave a wonderful “Dr. Strangelove” vibe! RIP Henry, and thank you for your good service to the nation!

I feel he was a remarkable man. A friend of his was interviewed on Fox news and said she had been at a large dinner party with him a few weeks ago and he still travelled a lot while in his 90s.She also said he had no secrets to longevity at all. But he kept his mind active and maybe that is the secret.

That is something I try to do. It isn't always easy because I think too much of the past sometimes. The whole world was different.

He was an exceptional diplomat and served our country well. Those that disagree, must be poorly informed, as he was exceptional in many ways.

Of course, to each his/her own!

Klaus Schwab was a pupil of Kissinger's at Harvard. If not for Kissinger's ideas, there might be no World Economic Forum right now and much less for us to worry about.

I am NO fan of Kissinger.

My wife did a little dance when she heard the news. She was no fan of his either.
