this is what my daughter had made for me for Christmas.

Doing next to nothing, while still hoping to recover from Covid symptoms, which drag on, for 2 and 1/2 weeks now.
Put away a few of the groceries. Just a few, and that's all!

Fed dear kitty, who watched over me, when I needed it. Thankful I still manage to have her and care for her.

I finally got a cool mist humidifier, to see if it helps my symptoms at all.

I am so sorry that you are suffering so. I have not had covid and hope I do not. Do you have any idea where you were exposed? I could be wrong but I thought you were out and about very much. Did family bring it into your home?

I don't go out but about once a week, the grocery. I do have to go the drugstore once in a while or the doctor. I have never been a big social person. Most of my life was at work or with my husbands family.

Husband, his parents, my Mom have all passed now. I could spend time with my DILs family but I just don't feel the need. Most people enjoy an active social life, for me, it is just stress I don't need.

I hope you feel better soon. Being a caregiver does not allow many of us to take care of ourselves. If you have family or a church family to help, that is a blessing. Please don't refuse any offers that can take some of that work of your shoulders.

I got my first delivery from Walmart today. It was good. I was waiting for them to start doing deliveries here for such a long time. They do not use Instacart which is what I usually use. So now I have two.

Very sunny here today. I will be starting my supper soon since I have changed my eating window to 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is only an hour different but think it would be better for me since I go to bed pretty early. Don't want to eat anything just before going to sleep.

I headed for the thrift shop today to drop off some stuff. I finally decided that there's no earthly reason to have five vacuum sweepers. So we're down to three. I'm not sure why we have to have three, but three it is........
you crack me up! how can you afford 5? i got 1.

This murder show is proof that people get really squirrely around the holidays. Especially families! My advice is don't sit with your back to the door and don't go to any family events if you're having a dustup with a family member.

Maybe Homicide for the Holidays wasn't such festive choice after all. Maybe I'll just watch A Christmas Carol again.

My son really bugged and upset me yesterday. Stubborn Aries, can't let go. Sometimes there's no getting through. A small thing. I've got to assert my needs more. I'm getting old. There's things I can't do. Hard for him to realize.

I texted my concerns this morning. Texting, the new talking. With all the talking we do every day, it's rarely personal. It's mostly political, as neither one of us gets the chance to really let loose with our ideas. For various reasons. So we enjoy that.

He'll probably start today mad at me. Mad, aka, I'm always right.
That's great you can vent politically! Me and a friend vent about all our health problems and other stuff too. We got to get this shit out of our systems, don't we? I enjoy reading your posts. You're so down to earth and honest. Enjoy your holidays!!💗

Thank you to all of you for the caring thoughts and posts! 💗 💗💗
Seeing them has lifted my spirits now, after the past few, very rough hours. I appreciate it very, very much.

I rarely manage to go out, @Blessed
or to interact with anyone. I became very disabled, back in my 40's.

My DH got covid at an emergency dental appointment mid- November. He's 90 and ill this year, so i was very worried about him, and very stressed without his help, too.
But after a few rotten days, he began quickly improving from covid. Wow.

But my symptoms began a few days after his started, and I've had a lot worse effects, and much longer case than his.
Neither of us had Covid before now. We are very isolated, other than each other.

Thanks for asking, and thanks again to all of you. It helps to have this connection to others. :)

Well, the Spousal Equivalent had one. I brought one with me into the relationship. I inherited one from my mom. We had one for the RV that we kept when we sold the RV. AND the SE just bought a new one. Voila: five. Six if you count the shop vac in the garage. I forgot about that one.

So two of them took the trip to the charity shop today.

You know.......there's nothing wrong with the vacuum sweeper you have but then you get distracted by the new one you see at the store that is soooooo attractive. Bright and shiny and never-been-used and you just HAVE to have that one. But, HOW can you discard the old one that has been so faithful and good to you? It MIGHT come in handy......(the most fatal words one can utter). So you move it to the garage.....with the other ones that are already out there. And when the lights are out, they multiply in the dark. I know that for a fact. I can hear them out there going at it right now.

I spent time looking through my Garage Band files and my external hard drive for a song I need to have my son transfer into his Logic program. I can't find it and that's disheartening. I practiced some more. Recorded three takes of the vibes but made a mistake in the last few bars. :cautious: Luckily I have a track left that I can use to re-record that part.

My son was busy running around after work, including doing some shopping at Costco for me, then going to pick up our dinner, which was eggplant parm with pasta and salad. While my son went to pick up our food, I put the groceries away. After we ate, my grandson stopped by and he had to take him home. So our planned studio time has been postponed, which was fine with me because I'll have more time to get things ready.

At least I'm not shopping today (fingers crossed). I've spent a small fortune over the last couple of days buying meat , fish etc..and various other other beasties (all on special offer), however Mrs.L says that now we won't have to shop until Easter! I wish.
Then a major shock - our usual supplier had run out of potatoes. Seems that he didn't sow as many and then had a poor crop this year, but I found another farmer close by who had plenty to sell. We had a very good crop of potatoes, but they were mostly small, so not suitable for baking or chipping - nice for salads though.
