High of 70 today and tomorrow. The long term forecast shows pleasant temps in the 60s coming after that. Not much chance of rain over the next ten days. Fortunately, CA reservoirs and snowpack are in pretty good shape (no drought) thanks to the deluges this rainy season.

Weather wimps that we are, most of us are kinda sick of the rain. Let the sunshine begin!

Have TGS tomorrow morning through Sunday morning, then DD's family comes Sunday afternoon for Maui style tacos (sooo good) and carrot cake. I'll start prep later today because very little progress will likely be made with an active two year old in the house.

Went to doctor. Said I should have gone to ER, and should still go. He was able to say he felt no tumors, but that's all he could say besides he needs X-rays, etc. I'll get another doctor. Eventually. In the meantime, the pain has finally lessened. Probably old age & arthritis. Hate this getting old business. I'm more prepared now, I hope. Am seeing pain doc Tuesday, he will probably be more enlightening.

I made a reservation for a cruise for the end of the summer this year. I've never been on a cruise, but I have a goal this year to do things while I'm still young enough (tho I wonder if I really am still young enough). I'm feeling so overwhelmed by all the extra decisions that a cruise requires. Such as apparently tap water is free but I'd need to order bottled water or sign up for a drink package. I guess I'm getting mentally old because that just is so confusing to me, like what the heck is tap water on a boat?

I'm going to ignore all of it for a while (avoidance syndrome!), then maybe I'll find some YouTube videos that will help me understand.

Is Coosday a nickname for Tuesday? Is there a local or personal meaning behind the word? Can't find any via a web search.
I have an awesome friend who lives in Scotland, she is the one who told me about Coosday. It's a long story, but I'll try to make it as short as I can.....

If you say the word "cow" in Scotland, it comes out sounding like "coo". This of course, rhymes with " too"...or Tue. So somebody started a cute campaign to help Scottish tourism by dubbing Tuesday "Coosday".

The Highland cow is absolutely adorable (my opinion) and is becoming more and more popular as a decoration item.

Please go to my thread called Happy Coosday, where every Tue I post pictures of Coos.

I hope this helps @StarSong 🙃

there's quite a lot of Youtube cruise do's and don't videos'... very enlightening so they'll help...

it's one of the reasons I won't go on a cruise because of all the do's and don'ts.. I want to make my own decisions... but all that said..my daughter loves them...

except we Scots don't rhyme Coo with Tue... because we pronounce it ''Tyoo'' -sday :D

I repeated the story as close to the way it was told to me, but I'm always happy to have more information! So thanks!

I just think that the whole thing is cute, and I love those adorable, wooly highland cows!

Did you check out the pictures in my thread? 💖💖💖💖💖
no, sorry I haven't seen your pictures yet... I agree tho' that highland cows are the cutest....:D

Early this morning I did the accounting for my son & me. I also updated my financial spreadsheets. We left at 8:30 to go to the state tax office. In November I filled out an application for the ANCHOR program with the help of an agent at that office, but their website shows they have no record of that. The caveats are that I need to have a pin # for an accurate check on the site but when filling out a paper application, one is not assigned. Also when filling out an application for the first time, it must be a paper application! I prefer not to mail my sensitive information which is why I went into the tax office in the first place.

The young lady that helped me said she’ll email (they don’t call) the property office so they can move things along. Apparently the process is more complicated for co-op owners and she suspects that their process is holding things up. ANCHOR gives a $1,250 rebate to qualifying homeowners and tenants. We couldn’t believe that there was only one other person there and she was already being helped, so we were in and out in no time.

After that we made an impromptu decision to go to Costco. We were early so took the time for more conversation. They had a 2TB external SSD drive for a great price of $119, but only stocked the 1 TB. I ordered one for each of us from Costco's site. I got another box of frozen Healthy Choice fudge bars, frozen organic strawberries and Yasso Greek yogurt bars, which were on sale. I also picked up the spring rolls that were on sale; my son didn’t see them at the other Costco earlier this month. We were back home by 11:15. I took a long nap this evening. Exercise tonight…dancing.
