What exercise have you done today?

Good for you, Marie! I only use the mart cart if I've already done a lot that day, my leg is already sore, or I have a really big load to buy. Which is most of the time! But like you, I use that as a gage and it's my goal to be able to get through the entire store on foot without having to hang my upper body over the front of the basket and grit my teeth.

Ten minute work-out.

I started my winter exercise when it got cold out. Then our winter turned warm so I worked outside and in the shop. Exercise plan was shot. Maybe next winter.

My main exercise is walking with my pups one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. And for strengthening my arm muscles, I am using my mini-gym that I am also using when it is raining. At 88, I want to make it 12 more years although I may eventually have to scale down a little bit. Without the pups, I would not have the energy to walk, but they keep me going. They love going for a walk more than I do.

Exercise bike. 5.0 miles in 21 minutes and 41 seconds. That's about 2 minutes faster than I have been averaging lately. What I did was increase the resistance. My average rpms dropped to 67 which is about 10-15 less than what they were before but my average speed still increased by about 1 mph. I could really feel the increased resistence in my thighs but overall it seemed like an easier workout. I think I'm going to contimue with the higher resistence in the future.

I went over to the State Police Academy this morning to workout, but they were having a class for the new cadets. I asked how long and the PT told me they just got started, so it will be about 2 hours. I came home and ran and did my sit-ups instead.
