I've just been removing even more clothes from the rails to donate. I have so many clothes I feel I have to be a little bit ruthless. If I move, I probably won't have the same space as I have here so I need to cull a lot.. even tho' I give almost every week to the Charity shops.. I still have a lot I can donate.

Much of what I've taken off the rails today still have their price tags on.. and I bought them when I was consumed with grief 2 and a half years ago.... and I look at them and think.. this is not for me.. what was I thinking ?.. so they've also gone into the bag..

they are all summer tops.. pretty ones too.. so I'm sure there's going to be people who will enjoy them. There's 12 of them.. thus far.. I'm sure I have more in the spare room closet which I'll get out later today...
I recently cleaned out a lot of clothes that sat waiting, but never to be worn. I have not missed them a bit and love the extra space.

I know I do it at least once a month.... but I have to be a little careful because sometimes in summer I'll give away winter clothing.. and Vice versa winter.. and summer clothing.. then when it gets to that particular season..I'm looking all over the place wondering what I've done with that little pink number etc.. :D...also my weight goes up and won like a yoyo, so I also have to remember to keep various sizes

@Widow of Vietnam Vet Sorry to hear about your friend :(. Her poor husband!

@CinnamonSugar The family room at my home church in Michigan is called the St. Joseph's Room...patron saint of families. That spread looks like I could just dig right in.

The frost was very light and didn't damage any of the flowers. Yay! If we're lucky, it's the last frost we'll get this season. Right now it's sunny but really cold. Think I'll stay indoors this afternoon.

I woke up early to 3 inches of snow- we have had snow for the past 3 nights- southern tier NY. However, it melts fast!

21 degrees -the sun is out, and I don't have to go anywhere today and have plenty to do around here.

A friend of mine passed away on Saturday-she had mobility issues and had broken her shoulder due to a fall, and was in rehab for weeks, and seemed to be ready to go home, and then she took a turn for the worse. Her husband was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. Sometimes it seems so much can overwhelm us when things like this happen. But this is life, and life means changes and challenges. She will be missed by so many! Her service is in late afternoon Saturday so that we can still have a community Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. She would sure want us to go ahead with that!

I plan on eating some spaghetti leftovers and a spinach salad, and need to check the fridge for what else needs to be eaten-lunchmeat and what is left of a large tomato that cost me almost 3 dollars! But enough for 3-4 grilled ham/cheese sandwiches.
Sorry about your friend, Widow.

Doing catch up reading of the posts.

Widow, sorry to read about your friend.

@holly,, too bad I can't shop the thrift shops you donate to.

I just bought 2 pairs of brand name jeans that fit me for $20.
Now I "Think I need "some newer Summer tops.

T-Shirts with logos, prints of where we've been are now work shirts .

Due to the fear of skin cancer I think 3/4 sleeve is what I want?

Our snow has melted but there is a cold wind blowing. brrrrrrr

Got to the eye shop and ordered new glasses and found a eye chain I liked. I will see if I can used to them hanging on my neck. They will be in about 3/28.

I decided to turn the beef I cooked yesterday into beef stew. Oh the horror, I was out of corn in both the can and frozen. It is simmering on the stove now that I have added the corn. I ran into the Walmart and picked up a couple of cans. I also got a few things to make ambrosia next week for Easter.

I made the vanilla pudding for the banana pudding before I left. So now I can get in there and fold the whipped topping and sour cream into it. Then I will put the thing together, won't be ready for eating today, have to wait for the cookies to soften.

I feel alright today so I hope to get a few more things done this evening. I would say all in all it has been a pretty good day.

@Blessed ,,, After we got back from my appointment , I made beef stew in the instant pot.
Thought it would taste good to both of us..

I didn't add corn to ours,
Onions, celery, pared a sweet potato, diced it some , carrots & lots of regular potatoes.
If I hadn't old my husband there was sweet potato he wouldn't have known it was there.
Had cut a London broil piece of meat in half to use.
Any how it was good

Its been ages since I had eaten a can of Dinny More Beef stew,,,, could not remember what all went into it.

Lots of people don't add corn but I love it! I used the same as you but the beef was round roast I cut my self. The only time I eat sweet potatoes is at Thanksgiving. My sister makes a wonderful casserole with a streusal like top.

I had an appointment with my PCP. I literally love going to see him. I had a lovely conversation with Doug, a man in the waiting room. He kept pacing and seemed to be apologizing as he told me he was anxious about his mother, who was with the doctor. A relative, whom he trusted, had started caring for her but apparently has gotten insensitive and he feels he may have to replace her. He’s not looking forward to the confrontation. We discussed that situation, I told him about my experiences with my elderly mother and how wonderful my doctor (our doctor) was with her. That comforted him because I believe it was his mother’s first visit with the doctor.

We then moved on to music, which he said calms him. So naturally I told him about my music. He started singing in his 20’s but stopped after opportunities to perform dried up; he’s itching to get back to it. I told him about my cousin Daniel who sings the classics, which Doug likes and used to sing himself. He actually looked us up online while we were there. He also told me his mother started doing stand up when she was 65; she’s now 87 and no longer performs. I got the information to check out her video on YouTube.

When his mother came out, he told me how much he enjoyed the conversation and that it was like God had sent an angel his way...me! 😇 I told his mother she obviously raised a wonderful son as I headed back to the exam room.

My doctor reviewed my lab results, which were much improved from last time. He explains key results and factors in detail. My kidney function is better. Also my BP was good. He wants to increase the dosage of Farxiga and gave me 3 weeks worth of samples of the 10 mg. since the initial side effect (blurry vision) is no longer an issue. But he wants to see how I tolerate it before calling my pharmacy with an RX. He was also glad that I have not come down with a UTI, one of Farxiga’s side effects. He feels if I haven’t had a UTI yet, I won’t.

He also talked to me about getting the shingles vaccine, which I’m seriously considering, and gave me info about ShingRix. After the medical stuff, we talked about music. He showed me a picture of the keyboard he uses with his band. explained it's awesome features and said they will have a couple of local gigs coming up. Hopefully I can go and support. Right about the time we were wrapping things up, my son called and said he could pick me up. The night before he said he probably wouldn't be able to because he had plans. His timing was perfect…another couple of minutes and I would have ordered an Uber.

Came home, had an early dinner and fell asleep. Shortly after I woke up, got a call from my honorary daughter who was at Wendy’s getting food for my grandson. She needed to drop something off for my son, so I asked her to bring me a frosty. They help me go. :) So to top off an already good day, I got love and hugs from my grandson when he brought the frosty and package to the
door.

Back from seeing nurse practitioner.
Learned that she is leaving for awhile.

Met the her replacement.
We talked about my health.
Wants me to get my blood sugar down to the 60s.

I feel I function well when Blood sugar in low 70s.

Will see her in 3 months by then I should be done with heart scans ,etc.
Blood sugar in the60s! That seems awfully low! I start feeling shaky if mine drops to 80. Or are we talking about different methods of calculation? If you're talking about the mmol method, 6.0 is considered nomal.

Today started out nice but ended up in a ball of stress. Not even sure exactly why. Got up feeling positive, but a bunch of tiny things shattered my mood.

Weather was so nice, but my body couldn't adjust to the quick change for some reason today. I started to feel bad, then I started to stress about feeling bad. That led to a bad spiral. Allergies from all the pollen are also playing a part.

My internet going down and talking to a tech who wasn't making sense didn't help. I also have a task that I've had to put off that's weighing on my mind.

Talking to someone, doing some writing and something called intention tapping helped reverse the spiral. Now I'm just trying to not go the other way again.

Yes, the allergens are sure in the air-and they can cause fatigue as well as the sudden changes in weather.
Caramel, I sure know what you mean by the 'bunch of tiny things' , that can affect our mood.
Diva, I am glad you got a good medical check up, and you had a great day!

I found that I have met some very interesting people in waiting rooms too- and I have had the shingles vaccine, because I had measles as a child-and I think that is one reason they recommend it.

I recently got the RSV shot too, because I knew 3 people who had RSV.

Thank you for calming down the man you spoke to in the waiting room-I agree with him- you Are an angel!

It is amazing what encouragement to do , even when it is someone we don't know, but who shares their concerns with us!

Gee-I forgot to describe my day today- I do not have to get in my car and go Anywhere!

I plan on some cleaning, some minor sewing projects and taking it easy-my car is covered with snow again-and it is 20 degrees out-
I also have my new book on Watergate and plan on devouring it later today!

Last night my Pastor asked me if I could speak at our Good Friday service and I would have loved to, but I do not drive at night anymore- our cell service is sporadic, and there are many deer up here at night on my winding country road.

My cataract surgery was great years ago, but ,like others who have had it done we pick up a bright glare at night from headlights, on the main highway, and cannot determine what is coming- is it large farm equipment, or a car, and snow makes it worse. And squalls are horrible-wehave had daily squalls this spring.

I usually check the local radar when squalls are predicted and got to the Post Office and Dollar store yesterday right between 2 squalls I saw on the radar.
They come from fast snowfalls and prohibit visibility. I never experienced them when I lived in New Jersey.

Don't know what's for dinner yet-maybe chicken gumbo. I ordered some canned okra from amazon that I never tried before and there is always only a short period of time in the Spring to get fresh okra at our main Tops market.
