Today I go to the dentist for stage 1 of 4 to get me a new tooth for the gap left by one at the front that has fallen out after years of being loose.

I can feel my bank account draining as we soeak. Scandalous prices but it is what it is. (Personally I'd just live with a gap but SWMBO inists I need it doing!)

Good morning, kids. It's a day off and gonna be sunny and 75ish. Yippee.

I've got 10 big sacks of mulch to spread and eight pretty red snapdragons that want to be planted. Since I didn't mow yesterday, there's a lawn wanting to be mowed. And there are weeds in the flower garden hoping to go unnoticed. That's a lot so it probably won't all get done today.

@hawkdon 3am is too early to roll outta the sack. Ask me how I know! :ROFLMAO:

Another Sunny day.... 🌞 ...went out this morning locally and got some Spring photos... :giggle:

I got a bundle of Mail this morning all at once... I think the Post office holds onto it now until they've got a few to deliver. I hadn't noticed before because I still get mail several times a week but someone else mentioned it.. and I'm wondering if that's what they are doing.

The Royal mail used to be a brilliant service.. like so many other things in the Uk these days.. its rapidly becoming a pale shadow of itself..

Anyway with that happy thought... have a super day everybody...

Rain predicted for today....I've started the mowing here, went from leaves to mowing with no in-between ......we've had a death in our family recently, even though it's been sad with my small family, the death has brought us all closer, I guess that happens, makes us aware of what a short time we have left....anyway I'm going to shop for flowers to plant soon.

I'm having a good grumble about delivery charges. Yet again I wanted to buy something online that was advertised as having free delivery to mainland UK. Guess what, as soon as I tried to order, there was suddenly a delivery charge to the Scottish highlands. Two things here, 1, the Scottish highlands are part of mainland UK, and 2, I don't live in or near the Highlands.

Of course the seller blames the delivery company who arbitrarily decide who lives where, but I maintain that offering Free delivery and then allowing extra improper delivery charges is misleading. Anyway, I declined to buy from that company and found an alternative product with free postage.

Okay, then. It's daylight, and I've fiddled around way too long. There are things to do. The garden awaits!

Does anybody wanna run on over and mow the lawn? By the time the dew evaporates, I'm gonna be too tired to do that, too. @hollydolly? You're an experienced mower...

The very last thing in our yard work will be a good mowing in the front. The centipede is short but the dandelions and friends are
Um...today is Thursday; tomorrow is Friday!

Pretty here today, too. Rain Friday and Saturday.
Oops! I meant tomorrow and Saturday! 😁

Yes, I understand. I'm going through the same thing. If my tooth had been more to the back, I would have just left it as a gap.

Okay, then. My new rule is going to be that I can't buy more flowers until the housekeeping in the garden is done. The snapdragons have been planted and a crapton of weeds have left the garden and now live in the trash. Only two of the 10 bags of mulch have been spread. Those things are heavy! Two at a time can fit in the garden cart, but they still have to be lifted to get them in.

I'm gonna rest awhile before doing more. There's still the lawn to be mowed, and @hollydolly has declined to help:mad:

Chilly here,, too windy,, but sun is playing hide & seek.

We dropped out tax work, was going to get my wedding ring resized.
Jeweler was closed, ditto a new 'thrift store.'

Hubby dropped me off at home, went to visit his brother.
Wonder if hubby can remember to clue me in on what they talked about?

Meantime I've wandered about Ebay, looking at the prices asked for Eastlake furniture.
I have 3 nice pieces to sell & some old kitchen chairs that need seats canned.

Haven't signed up for Marketplace on Facebook.

Anyone here have good suggestions or results with either Ebay or Marketplace?

Thanks, to any who reply^^^^.

Cold returned in earnest for a few days now here. Mostly staying inside and fussing with this and that, will make a drive-through run by the pharmacy for a refill and maybe a very brief grocery stop.

Sunny but even at noon things felt bitter out there, probably because the nice warm days I'd gotten used to. I'm sure I'm not unique in lagging the changes up and down. Perhaps this is part of aging.

The sun is low in the sky... the sunset is a beautiful shade of gold...

It's 6pm...I've just paid my Water bill over the phone to the water board who I had to call to query the bill, because they sent me not one but 2 bills in the same envelope... anyway got that cleared up.. and I only owe the one amount.

On the first day of spring.. some photies

Some flowers from "my part" of our garden (and not from my wife's flower and vegie garden.) White and pink flowers on our Eucalyptus trees (purple-blue Jacaranda Tree flowers and ochre Silk Oak Tree flowers should follow soon,) ice plants (they come in a huge variety,) Gladiolas (we planted one and now they are spreading like weeds, as it happened with our Canna flowers,) Birds of Paradise, and a Canna flower (they come in different colors.)

Hummingbirds are buzzing around my head, I hear but don't see a woodpecker at work, a mockingbird is practicing its repertoire, and hawks are soaring way above in an updraft.

Life is beautiful. This is the day God has made for us. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. God loves you and so do I.

@hawkdon Wut wo! Be on your very best behavior!

@Trila Does 🐐man have a guilty conscience? LOL

I did rest. And ate, then went outside to sit on the patio with a glass of tea to admire my handiwork. Asked myself: Self, why not spread just two more bags of mulch? So I did.

Why is hard work so hard?
