How about a helpful hint section? Some really do work.

Goo-be-gone is the answer for sticky labels. Orange/citrus solvent which dissolves the glue is far easier on the item and far safer for the user than a razor.
But its more expensive than the razor. It seems the new goo gone doesn't work as well or glue is getting stronger.
I'm thinking water then rub some Dawn, then razor or plastic pot scraper.

Wool balls in the dryer instead of dryer sheets (which are not usually biodegradable) really work. I found some at Grocery Outlet for $1.25 each in a 6-pack. I was skeptical, but they really do work. They reduce or remove static too.

The plastic dryer balls also work for helping large loads dry more thouroughly. I found those at a 99 Cent Store for $1.00. They are usually not at the 99 Cent Stores. I just got lucky that day.
Hmm, I'll have to try those.

I learned this hack several years ago and it sure does work for scraping a fair amount of product out of tubes that seem empty. Great for lotions, hair products and other .

From the bottom of the tube, go about 2" up and cut it off. Pull it off and start scraping with a dull knife and either use it or transfer to the upper part of the tube. Now cut about 1" from the sealed end so it's about 1" long.

Reseal the tube by sliding the bottom piece over the top piece. Throw out the middle piece that's open on both ends.

I can't get over how much product remains in tubes I thought were empty.

My mother taught me to do that when I was still a little kid. No need for a tennis racket - a wooden spoon will do nicely. Also, leave the top slightly attached and fold it back down before cutting off the bottom lid. Then open it just before pushing the bottom lid through.

p.s. A lot of modern cans can't be opened from the bottom so this hack isn't always possible.
p.p.s. The woman in this video needs to learn that acting dumb isn't all that cute and is a terrible example to set for young girls.

I found the plastic dryer balls made waaaayyyy too much noise in the dryer

I'm sick of AI voice overs on youtube as well... regardless of how well some of them might be.. the pronunciation of certain words give the game away every time...
I'm looking to this thread for hints that people here have actually found useful. The internet is loaded with helpful hints that many of us have discovered are decidedly unhelpful.

Same with recipes. If I pass along a recipe I found online, it's one I've had success with. Anybody can google "eggplant parmesan" for instance, but the question is whether the recipe is worth using.

Facebook used to be loaded with ridiculous recipes that apparently nobody ever made but were nevertheless endlessly reposted because they "looked good." Pffftttt.... what's the value in that?

I understand about the AI voices.....but I often watch them on mute, as hints are written out. But, I know this may not be to everyones liking.

I do have another hint..if you have a jar with a pop off top that is being fussy, run a butter knife around the inner edge of the top, where it meets the jar and it should loosen the vaccum seal. That or a slight tap on the counter top

I usually bang it on something but this seems easier. Will give it a try!

I hate when the ring on a pop top can breaks off - such a hassle opening the can when that happens.

I'm a renter. I cannot be putting holes and screws into walls. Cannot even refinish the cabinets. I guess I could, if I asked permission, but why work that hard for a property that is not mine?
I understand... however I have noticed and read this about renters in the USA...here in the Uk renters can pretty much do what they want as long as it doesn't involve structural changes ..like knocking a wall down to make a bigger room etc.... as long as they are either 1..making an improvement..or 2..return it back to it's original condition.. when they leave..or face the bill for it..

We can do that here too, with permission, but I'm not going to.
