Sometimes I do not understand the machinations of this site

In looking for a post, I inputted - You think I don't know what you have been doing? I got this response;

The search could not be completed because the search keywords were too short, too long, or too common.

How am I suppose to find the post?

This has happened several times with different searches

I was looking for a post of mine from 5 years ago. The search engine should bring it up.
Otherwise I would need to spend half an hour going through my old "your content" posts.
 

Happened immediately again.
In looking for a post, I inputted - What were you really into when you were a kid?

Got this response
The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: were, you, really, into, when, you, were, a, kid

I looked for one of my threads from 6 years ago and the entire thread was gone. Other threads were there from that far back. It was a thread about hair.

I know if a word is less than four letters, it can't be used. What are the words you were searching for?

I'm new to this forum and I blamed similar results on the fact that I wasn't familiar with the protocol. Glad to see I'm not the only one kind of lost in the fog.
 
I have used the search and have had adequate results. :)

I hope you find the post. It does have a lot of very common words in it. and there are thousands of posts that have those words in them, maybe.?

It got me thinking about the everyday process I go through looking/seeking for something. Sometimes I will look for a hour it is so important and finally have to give up. "Giving up is hard to do." 🎵 :)

I would have thought by adding my name then it would be easy to find.

Comments drop off after awhile

Mine only go back to January of this year
even though I've been here since 2017

Do you recall the name of the OP?

I couldn't find it with the search or looking at your past threads. You joined in 2021, so I don't think you were here five years ago.

Sorry, I don't know what the problem is. I just searched the word relax, an old thread about easy listening music I started, and found it right away, 2014.

If the thread was controversial and the replies violated the rules, it's possible it was deleted, I really don't know.

I joined October 2021. so a mistake there in my timing.
Seems "My Content" only retains 25 pages, 625 posts.
It was my post but maybe I never posted it here?
Getting confused about another site I am a member of.

I can easily see that happening when we belong to more than one forum. :)
