When men were "men"???? Masculine dominance????

I don't think the "feminization" of men is the current issue. The issues are that 60% of college grads are now women, many are now independent and no longer need men and they now have the ability to swipe right or left on a dating app, dismissing the guys that are less attractive or successful.

The issue has become that these young men feel left behind. It makes them angry Incels who take it out in the form of violence or just never doing anything with their lives. They feel defeated, not feminine.

BTW, this issue has nothing to do with the success of women. They have taken the liberty of making successes of their lives. It has to do with the lack of ambition in many young men.
Excellent point.

Is a man sitting at a desk working on a computer less masculine than one out herding cattle? I think not. What do you think?
The real men are the ones who are working to define and build a new and better society. And yes, women can do just as well as the men (or better). A real man (woman) may be a mental giant or an average Joe/Jane. But they are both builders. They create good ideas and good things.

Seems to me it was an attempt at humour. But I don't watch Seinfield or know anything about him.

I think it is much better now that everyone isn't locked into gender defined roles and people can do whatever career, lifestyle choices etc suit them.
I don't think there is any one 'real man' or 'real woman' - there are traits I admire in anyone - work ethic, kindness, empathy etc. Doesn't matter if it is a man or a woman.

I totally agree. Why lump people into one way of being or looking or acting or living? šŸ¤”

Women and especially young girls need a strong, masculine role model to look up to.

I can't tell you how many of my daughter's friends without a father figure...have gone astray in their lives.

It's not always because of lack of masculinity or strength. Peer pressure can get to them when they still have good role models of many kinds.

I don't think grown women need a strong masculine role model to look up to.

I do think all children need good role models of men and women - not neccesarily their own parent.

But I don't think strong is neccesary in a good role model.

Right on! šŸ‘

I think that we men need to get back to our roots as hunters-gatherers. Drum circles are good, too. Inside every man lives a repressed pirate that needs to be liberated…yes, we are sea-dogs at heart! What could be better for us than a pirate’s convention, where we could roll our arrr’s a lot? It’s therapeutic, really… šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

I think that society looks to some mythical standard for ā€œrealā€ men or women. Perhaps we would do well to just look around to the overall vast majority of good people. Come on now….is that guy or gal less than because of where they work or how they dress? Testosterone and estrogen have their place…but in your face isn’t that place.

Right. He's not the kind of guy I ever considered a manly man, he's actually the kind of guy I would bet got picked on in highschool.
Exactly. I had pictured him as the one who always displayed a glued-on-his-face kind of defiant smile, always fending off challenges to his masculinity with rehearsed one liners and defensive shrugs. A guy who the gals liked because of the strong feminine streak in his manners and behavior. Gals do have that instinctive lesbo attraction to a feminine kind of guy. Yeh that's Seinfeld.

That's stupid. Been trying to give you benefit of doubt, but that is one truly stupid remark.

I absolutely knew you would stick your face in here. I had bet a friend that Pepper would chime in with some ridiculous comment. Thanks I won 5 bucks.
