I like both styles but the trad is my favorite.
 

When I woke up at 6am, the sun was trying to come thru the clouds,will be warmer than it has been recently temps in the mid 70's
My ankle sprain is getting better I elevate it on my footstool as much as possible, ice it taking Aleve twice a/day with food until Sat.Yesterday on her way home from the car dealer, Marcia went to Walgreens ,bought me a compressed ankle sleeve. It's helping but I don;t wear it at night
I'm certainly getting walking exercise every day here, the hallway is long, takes me a min or so to get to the elevator. When I get off on the 1st floor ,I walk to the cafe for lunch, then late in the afternoon come back to pick up my dinner When I go outside I lately{ with my cane} have been walking once around the complex just to get fresh air
 

Mac got his wish to try terrorizing the squirrels.
I took him down to the trees,, very slowly.
Using his leash & my walking staff to make him walk slowly.

He wasn't happy to see the squirrels weren't on the ground.
All the while we were there, bits of pine cones came down.

We had a walk .
I got 'work' in the flower /weed garden.
Now to get on with my day.

Hubby & helper are at the rental house getting it ready for HUD to inspect it.
 
@Sliverfox Hm. Wonder if the squirrels had anything to do with the pine cones coming down while Mac was out there;)

It's only 10am, and I'm bored senseless. It's too hot to be outside. Inside The Hovel is clean, even the bathroom. There's not enough dirty laundry to make washing it worth the trouble. Can't see well enough to read. Yawn🥱

Doing nothing is very depressing.
 
@GG,, yeah,, who says squirrels don't have any sense of humor?

They run ,up down the trees playing,, teasing?

I saw one in the bird feeder,,, soo.....got the leash on & made Mac,slowly go down.

Just before we got there could see it was going to take a flying leap.
It hit the ground & Mac was one bite from it's tail.

Mac looks up the tree,,"thinking',, Hey,, I'm not done with you?"

Trees are too straight up he can't climb them.

We've had other dogs go after something ,,If the tree is leaning enough for them to make the first leap.

Memories of some great dogs we've had.

A gastropub differs from a traditional pub in that it's a restaurant with bars, and children are permitted from newborns up to age 14 before 9pm... unlike traditional pubs Gastro pubs often open as early as 7am where Trad pubs open around 11 or mid-day...

gastropubs have all but replaced most restaurants which serve British food... most surviving restaurants in the Uk serve Non Traditional British food.. ie..Italian, French, Indian.. Chinese..etc...

The Oliver's pub in my picture is traditional pub with a restaurant...different to a restaurant with bars which is the Gastro pub...

Scampering, playful squirrels are so entertaining to watch. Ozzie-dog isn't bothered by them, unlike our previous dogs. In all the years I've had and seen dogs chasing squirrels, I never saw any catch one. Some sure did try mightily though!

Trying to sort out my professional email. What a royal pain it is to disentangle my sites & hosting servers from GoDaddy. Ugh...
 
I took the bottles to the recyclable bin, then headed to McDonald's for breakfast, which was an egg and cheese biscuit with a cup of decaf. After eating I walked to the Amazon hub. I had to get the manager to have an employee move a delivery of cans and bottles that were piled up in front of the lockers. Why did I have to do that?!

After picking up my package, I walked to the supermarket and got a few items. If I get the notion, I’ll do some shredding and put away the rest of the laundry. If not, tomorrow is another day. :sneaky: And from what I understand it will be a good day to stay inside due to the stormy weather that’s forecast. 🌧️
 
Shocker of a day for me today unfortunately..

Dealing with legal issues .. the soon2bex.. has resorted to lies not only about his financial situation.. but about personal things within our marriage... in his quest to get out of paying .

I received an email with 7 attachments of figures ( lies ).. and accusations ( more lies).. from his representatives.. and I was shaking with the shock...literally shaking, even now hours after reading them I'm still shaking...

It really matters not about his accusations because this is a no fault divorce.. but just seeing the horrible lies he's willing to say to lawyers and goodness knows who else as to why our marriage broke down, just is so shocking to me.. I never realised how low this man could go in his quest to retain all of ''his'' money... 🥺🥺
 
@hollydolly, I’m glad you have a strong-willed, intelligent daughter to stand by you. As she isn’t related to him, you can tell her anything you want. I couldn’t tell my DDs anything when lies were being told. Sometimes the one person has no one to discuss this with.
