Is There Mail You Actually Look Forward To Getting?

I can't wait each month to get the Costco sales brochures. I also look forward to receiving the annual letter from my cousin in Indianapolis. We haven't seen each other in person in decades. The last time was at his wedding, a beautiful event. He has a gorgeous family and they are all successful. Around the Christmas holiday, he sends out a letter highlighting what happened with his family during the year and includes a holiday family photo. Although they've had some challenges over the last couple of years, most of what they've experienced is good. I enjoy reading those letters and seeing how his (adult) children have grown up.

I'm looking forward to getting my monthly financial account from my financial advisor
Last month, I know I loss some $ because I had to sell some stocks to pay for my entrance fee here
I'm always curious to see if I loss or made money each month depending on what the stock market did

I get very little mail. All my bills are are on "Auto-Pay" and I get 2 car magazines that I use for reading material before I go to sleep at night. I also subscribe to "The Smithsonian," which I am going to let expire. I wrote them a letter and told them they don't put the good articles about NASA and space they used to, so I will let them run out and also my wife gets "Readers Digest." I will never stop "Motor Trend" and "Hemmings."

I have never seen so much junk mail in my life, as I have since becoming a part of a senior community years ago.
My mailbox is generally overflowing with insurance and health offers and other assorted useless (to me). stuff. .... if they send something once, and they get no reply, they will continue to send the same info. over and over.

I would never do anything financial thru the mail, or really, anything of importance. That is what I have a computer for.

And I get tons of catalogs from everywhere - and I NEVER buy anything from a catalog. I shop online.

The trash bins in the mail room are always stuffed full ..lol

I don't get anywhere near the junk mail I used to get, hardly any at all anymore. The only mail I look forward to is anything I've got coming from Amazon, eBay, etsy, poshmark, mercari or thredup.

The only mail I look forward to is when I’ve ordered something online.

A couple of months ago I put a note asking my mail carrier to not deliver any mail that was not addressed to the name of the occupant. This was recommended by Canada Post. It works.
