Then I was almost late for my Eye test.... got a very comprehensive one today..including an OCT Scan which cost me extra. As someone over 60, I am along with everyone else over 60 entitled to free Eye tests.. but the OCT Scan is an optional extra and that costs extra.. Apparently my eyes are in good condition, no change from 2 years ago..

The fair is in town.. and when I say in town I mean'' right in the middle of the very small high street''... I have no idea why they do that in that town, they have parks in the surrounding area but they always set it up in the road blocking off traffic...

So than I go and get a coke at the pub, it's so hot today... and pick up some groceries from the next door supermarket... and make my way home. Someone had parked across my drive so I couldn't park near the house... then when I got in finally His lawyers had provided an important document which we'd been asking for , for a week... and in their accompanying mail they said.. to hurry up and send the info they want in return, as their client (my cheating lying husband) wants this finished up quickly so he doesn't have to pay any more legal fees...

I'm telling you, I had to sit on my hands or else I would have replied in no ladylike manner...

Further to all of that...just to add. I told my doctor a little about what he's doing.. and she said I quote'' this is not a very professional thing to say, but I hope he gets Karma'' !

She was trying to give me advice even tho' by her own admission she doesn't know the divorce laws, but she was absolutely incensed on my behalf.....anyway with all that chatting, she then forgot to make out my prescription for my treatment.. so I called the surgery just as I got back to the car they said they would tell her and ring me back.. they didn't.. 5 hours later I've rung them again... same story they'll tell her and ring me back... we'll see...

so there you are... what a day and it's not even 4.30pm yet..🧐

@hawkdon It's full moon time so that's probably why your sleep is all wonky.

@hollydolly I swear that if you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any at all.

So...cataract surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28. Since they're down to just two surgeons, I'm surprised that it could be done so soon. Expected September or October. And yay, both eyes at the same time. Recovery at least two weeks, but because of my history of retinal holes/tears, maybe three to four weeks. Fine by me.

Hey! Guess who called out yesterday? So far, she's worked a day this week. Maybe she'll show today if she has time and it's not too inconvenient  Or not. I tried hard to finish early today so that there would be time to bake cookies, but no such luck, and I was too tired to stay any longer and do anything more.

I was gonna plant the rest of the flowers, but it's too hot now. Tomorrow.

Must be eye exam time around SF folks. DH went yesterday and learned for sure that he now needs cataract surgery. His eyes had been edging in that direction for several years. Will send his optometrist's results to the ophthalmologist and get that process going.
Yes I was told I had cataracts .. first time I've been told that altho' she said it was spotted 2 years ago at my last exam, but no-one told me... but she said they're just slight so nothing to be concerned about..

By coincidence, Mrs.L also had her annual eye test this morning. At least it was all OK and miraculously she didn't choose new frames.
Spent much of the afternoon tidying up and getting the house 'ship shape' for younger daughter coming up.

Cooking fish coated with breadcrumbs and stir fried veges for dinner.
I have decided I am never buying new frames from the Opticians again. I get mine at a vastly reduced price online.. and they are much better quality ... I don't need new specs at the moment anyway...

Yeah, I was told about mine about 15 years ago. Eye doc at the time said they were slow growing and not to worry about them for a while yet. Meh. Nothing to stress about this soon. So I didn't and made it for almost 15 years.

Would you believe it's already 87F at noon? Eek. Guess I'll spend the rest of the day indoors. Maybe even check out the kitchen cupboards and match up the containers with their lids. Not only that, but actually toss the containers with no lids and the lids with no containers. How's that for excitement?

When my wife is upset about something that has absolutely nothing to do with me, then I better get out of her way. Otherwise, it suddenly becomes my fault that she is upset.

Luckily, it doesn't happen too often.

The worst sin for me would be getting into an argument with her. So, I better go out and buy some flowers or her favorite strawberry pie to get her in a better mood (after some grumbling for which I better keep my ears closed.)

Back in March/April I lost a lot of blood due to an ulcer. That made me anemic and the doc decided to send me to the ER to see if that persisted. Not sure why he waited this long. My hemoglobin was much better this time. Thanks for asking
Did you take B-vitamins (B-12 especially) and Iron supplement, during the time in between, or did he just have you waiting, and did you get better result anyway?
Glad you are doing some better, now.

Here we are again. Another day. Another hot day.

It will be interesting to see whether Cookie showed up yesterday and whether she did anything...

Off to save the world with warm 🥐 🥐 for breakfast. Those could guarantee world peace. Or whirled peas.
Yup....Another hot day. Finishing my coffee then out to water. Hopefully the tropics will bring rain relief but not too much relief!
