How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

I have literally just walked for 2 hours almost exactly to the minute...I left at 1pm, and got back at 2 mins to 3.....it's soooo hot & humid...
I walked around the woods behind my house, and part of the lakes and park... it's so hot there's no-one there except the tractor driver cutting the meadow, who stopped his tractor, and signalled to me about hot he was.. *phew*...🥵

That's the longest I've walked in one go since the last time I was in Spain before Covid...and I was delighted that my knees didn't give out even tho' at the last stage of the walk is all uphill to my house..


I ran out of charge in my phone before I got home, so I'm just re-charging it, while downloading the pictures I took..I'll post them later..fortunately Amazon hasn't been yet... it's now almost 3.30pm

Her parents may have good reason to not trust her. From all you've described she's far from being a mature, responsible young woman.

Yep and I didn't stroll.. I walked briskly the whole way around.....(y) I might have pushed my knees to their limit tho' so it's probably a good thing I'm due to have steroid injections again after I get back from my little coastal trip...

Your grandson is very brave. I know how painful these conditions are, especially in childhood. Keeping fingers crossed he will be helped soon.

Whenever DGD does something like that...way more than a usual "easy" physical day...she pays for it by having to spend the entire next day in bed and in pain! Hope that doesn't happen to you:(

That's what I thought, but how do they explain allowing her to babysit somebody else's kids five days a week?

Come to think of it, what do you suppose the kids' parents think about her being gone Wednesday/Thursday/Friday? Maybe they're off those days, too?

Hmm. Sounds to me like something is rotten in the State of Denmark...like she's going nowhere, just wants the time off from the bakery. According to her, the babysitting job pays very well, better than what she earns at Kroger. Well, what she earns at Kroger when she shows up.

well it was around 90 here today...No AC... pretty unbearable... right now at after 9pm it's almost 80 deg outside , and inside this office room even with my little USB fan working on full strength.. it's 86 deg F
 
An update on my morning post, it took me 20 min to walk to Marcia&Dave's house
I got there just as Marcia was getting in her car, told me Alexei was home finished with the school yr{ he's a special-ed assistant} Dave had a half day at his school { he's a social worker,in different school}
When I walked in the door, buddy boy started to bark, heard my voice,ran to me got so excited,tail wagging. He jumped on sofa waiting for his TLC. I bent down to hug him,tail was thumping on the sofa, as usual gave me his paw
Alexei & I were talking, I got up to get my lunch out of my bag, turned around Tage had followed me. He was happy to 'share'with me,the usual tuna fish,carrots,apple. Dave came home we talked for a couple of minutes.He gave me a ride home and was taking Tage to local park for a walk before the rains came.
