What is your sexual preference?

Seriously we have to register to participate in the Senior Meals and that means filling out a National Aging Program Information Systems (NAPIS) Registration Form. My grandmother, the real Vida May, might go into a state of shock if she were aware of this interest in our sex lives.

It begins with "Please describe your gender in any way you prefer.
What is your gender? Are you transgender? Please describe your sexual orientation or sexual identity in anyway you want". "How do you describe your sexual orientation or gender identity"

Our choices are
Same-gender loving
Same-sex loving
Lesbian
Gay
Bisexual
Straight
Pansexual
Asexual
Queer
Questioning

Don't know
I don't know what this question is asking
I don't want to answer.

 How about I am attracted to good-looking and charming male robots with top-of-the-line AI and perfectly programmed to please me, with none of those disgusting or irritating things humans do? I don't have to cook for him, or clean up after him, because he does all of that and the only things he says to me are the things I want to hear. What sexual orientation does that make me? 😘

Or my grandmother might say, "To each, his own said the lady as she kissed the cow".

Lol. I recently had a medical appointment, and as always they emailed me a post-appointment questionnaire . This time Kaiser also included a short survey, asking me to indicate how I "identify as". I'm thinkin: I've been a patient of theirs for 46 years, if they don't know by now then they weren't paying attention anyways. shrug.gif

At this rate, I can't get old enough quick enough and out of here. Much too too complicated to be born anymore. Pretty soon they'll be giving surveys to babies a few minutes after after birth so that they can be assigned to the baby beds with the appropriate signage. What is your preference, little one? "Chocolate"

This is a cracker.....a male doctor, yep a doctor was turned away from donating blood because he refused to tick a box on a form to say..............'He wasn't pregnant'

Male GP turned away by NHS after he refused to say if he was pregnant
In my opinion, that’s perfectly understandable.
They need to know if a person is pregnant. That in itself could cause problem while donating blood. He could have ticked any box and let them know he wasn’t pregnant

So the blood bank misses out on a needed donation because he is too pig headed to answer a simple question.

Yes the answer is obvious in his case but the questions are just asked of everyone, what a mountain out of a molehill he is making.

he's male...he can't become pregnant. The form indicates he is male.
Yes, I realize that. I’m stating the reason why they’d have that listed as a reason why people shouldn’t donate. It’s perfectly understandable. The guy is making a big deal over nothing.

I don't think he is making a big deal, simply not conforming to the introduction of woke ideology into our NHS. Up to a few years ago such a question did not require to be answered by male donors and in fact I don't recall even seeing it on the form when I donated.

With all the different labels of sexuality, they probably HAD to change the format of the consenting questionnaire. If the guy wanted to donate he blood he could click on the ā€˜not pregnant’ section.

Max, as a woman 25 years into menopause, I find that question ridiculous for me too and always laugh when asked it! But, I answer it anyway. I'm not a jerk with a dumb point to prove, IMO.

Pepper, I respect your answer & thoughts but what I shall say is you've just made part of the point because you've just confirmed you are a woman.

probably but they should have clarified that it was required to be answered by female only. Saved any possible controversy.
