President Biden has tested positive for covid.

He is reported to be vaccinated and boosted. Should be OK, however Covid vaccines deal only with the disease, and may be of little or no help with age related brain deterioration.
 
Having had Covid three times despite having all available injections, I can tell you that it does still make you feel very poorly.

I must explain that the reason that I have had it three times is that I am being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and during the chemo cycle I am very prone to pick up any infection.

Last night on the evening news they announced this. During the report it showed him boarding the plane, and a slight stumble & hesitation. Behind him, at the bottom of the stairs was a S/S agent, who remained at the bottom of the stairs. Regardless of your position on him / feeling about him {Biden} shouldn't that agent have followed close behind him , just incase ? I mean a fall down those stairs could easily kill. jmo

I'm certainly no authority on this, but from what I'm reading, it isn't causing the rebound.
Here's a short clip from what the study found:

The authors said the rebound of COVID-19 symptoms following the end of Paxlovid treatment is likely due to insufficient drug exposure: not enough of the drug was getting to infected cells to stop all viral replication. They suggested this may be due to the drug being metabolized more quickly in some individuals or that the drug needs to be delivered over a longer treatment duration.

Yes, regardless of the politics, he is a frail senior citizen, and he has fallen or zoned out several times in public now. Many senior citizens are not frail. He is. They could even just have a couple big guys follow behind him.

While I agree with the first part, let's be honest here.

He won't recover at all. IMO we do not recover from age related issues/illnesses ....... because we continue to age.

Again opinion but, the best we can hope for is more better days than bad.
