Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

Have Ben watching Ray Donavan streaming on Paramount. It just goes on and on. Much violence for those that don’t care for it and love scenes that leave nothing to the imagination. It reminds me a lot of the Soprano series.

Watching (2 episodes at a time) season 5 “Unforgotten” on Amazon Prime. I really like the weaving of storylines and how the two main characters personal struggles affect their working relationship. Very gripping and compelling.

Also re-watching “Dr Blake Mysteries” but those are more for the wry comments and witty repartee. (If a murder mystery can be) more light-hearted than Unforgotten but still good.

'TABOO' /w Tom Hardy just watched E1-E4 out of 8. Tom Hardy is very good. Watched 'The Nun' a little 'outside the box' than my usual choices. Probably won't recommend it to others.

NF. Just finished season 1 of Inside Man. It stars David Tennant and Stanley Tucchi. Though it’s based on murders, it‘s not gruesome. Only four one hour episodes.

Any fans of Orphan Black here who are following the new series?

Amazon Prime carries episode 1 for free. You can also find the show on AMC+ if you pay for that, and perhaps elsewhere too.

I'm doing another rewatch of Midnight Mass. I usually don't rewatch these type of shows (it's very dark) but there is something about Mike Flannigan's shows that reel me back in. Just my opinion of course but I think that Midnight Mass is the best Netflix original show.

I really can't divulge the plot because it would spoil the show. It is a horror show but there is more to it than just the horror theme. Midnight Mass is often criticized because there are lengthy dialogues in the show but I enjoy that part of the show.

I'm watching Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix.
Interesting look at the Teams and Drivers of this elite sport.
Got interested in Open-Wheel racing while living in the UK.

It's funny that two of my favorite sports to watch are Big money sports, Cup Sailing and Formula 1.
Not sure what that says about my taste. Guess I need to play the lottery more often so I could win millions
and move to Monaco for a few days, then go back to being broke. :)

Colony was a TV series about a post-invasion Earth, but almost all of the conflict is between collaborators and freedom fighters. You'll barely see aliens for most of the show.

It only ran for 3 of its planned 5 seasons, and it ends abruptly with no clean ending at all. But it is still pretty good, mostly drama and hardly any sci-fi in it at all. Sadly even dumbed down this much for mass audiences wasn't enough to draw enough viewer share and its cost to produce thus doomed it even though it hardly contains any expensive costuming or effects.

It's disappointing that we can't have nice things, but unless a show is a soap opera or about kitty cats or pap sports or caped spandex the audience is just too small.

So Colony is just one more unfinished work among so many. It is still worth watching though considering how little there is to choose from.

Right now it's on The Roku Channel.

Between (Netflix) TV series.
The body count is rising. A mysterious plague is killing everyone over age 21 in Pretty Lake. Quarantined and afraid those left must survive without help, a cure, or adults.
While claimed to be set somewhere in the U.S. it's pretty clear that was post-production revisionism, probably forced by Canadian government censors. In the U.S. we don't have high officials with a title "Minister of..." this, that, or the other thing.

Two seasons. While never actually cancelled, no season 3 has ever been mentioned seriously.

Finished White Line on Netflix. It had all the warnings about violence, sex, and coarse language for good reason. It was well done for what it was. I wouldn’t want a second season. Absolutely beautiful scenery.

Binge rewatching White Collar. I just need some background noise for the moment. I got tired of Emily in Paris although I go back to it sometimes because it has a lot of background music. Also binge rewatching Gilmore Girls when the intensity of White Collar gets too much.

I'm considering watching the sequel to Gilmore Girls on Netflix called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. It's 4 episodes, 1 for each season that's the conclusion of the Gilmore Girls that the original writer wrote. The last season of Gilmore Girls didn't have the original writer on it. But that will have to be when I have more of an attention span for it.

Colony is better in season two than even in season one. Almost into season 3 now, I'll be disappointed when it runs out without any conclusion, since its last 2 seasons were never made.

Good writing, the people act like real people.

Looking forward to what you think of the third season. I don't mean that in a bad way. I enjoyed it.

Waiting for anything as good as Monk, Dexter, Ozark.

Imaginative, exciting, very well acted and totally interesting
Watched Blacklist twice. Good but too memorable to enjoy too many times.
Breaking Bad was good but have lost interest in it. :)

I've been streaming Primeval: New

I tried watching this, partly because the lead actor Josh Holloway, who used to be in Lost, sure is eye candy (love his dimples), but I just couldn't get into it.

I'm currently watching Primeval: New World on Amazon Prime. I thought I had seen the series before then realized by the promo poster that it was a different cast. I had watched the original Primeval and grew to like the cast so it kept my interest. the same goes for Primeval New World. Some of the actors are recognizable from Eureka and the original Primeval series. It's about a team that hunts prehistoric creatures that come through time portals (anomalies) that pop up in different places. @davey

I also checked out the reboot of Amazing Stories (2020) on Apple TV. It was created by Steven Spielberg. I only watched two of the six episodes and don't care to watch the others at this time. Canceling my subscription tomorrow for a few months. Maybe when I resubscribe I'll watch the others.

Trying out the second season of “Troppo” on Amazon. It’s a whole lot more gritty than Dr Blake but compelling. The story line seems a little more convoluted this season but I’m going to hang in there. Anyone else seen this?

I started it too, really enjoyed S01. I'm not worried about the multiple story lines, just looking forward to more surprises. The show reminds me of 'Justified' with Olyphant.

Been watching Small Town News on Max. It's a reality series about TV station KPVM in the small desert town of Pahrump, Nevada. Not my usual cuppa tea because I despise the desert and don't usually like reality shows either, but this one is really good.

We just started Dexter, the 2013 version. I’ve only seen one episode and it’s pretty jarring. I don’t know if I can watch all these gruesome scenes. Considering it lasted for 8 seasons and has rave reviews, maybe it’s worth continuing. I don’t know if I’m up to it.
